When is the function so I can attend the ceremony where you get a medal from Jerry about how awesome a fan you are?

There is nothing incoherent in this thread.

Dak homers said Dak didn’t break 200 yards passing, but he could have easily. They just didn’t try...

They had TEN passing plays for Dak in the third. That’s a high rate of passing for elite QBs, even when up that much. That is by every definition of the word trying, including Dak tossing an awful football up over twenty yards plus that was right into Ramsey’s arms. When they were 8 yard seats from the end-zone off the Heath INT they passed it to out of three times.

If anybody truly pays attention, Dak plays his absolute worst in the third quarter and the second half in general.

Why are we stuck on 200 yards TODAY..? The game flow clearly didn't dictate it. You would have HATED Troy Aikman. I'm guessing you're maybe 18, 19 years old?

Dak is pretty much our version of Cam Newton. Not the best passer in the league and won't typically rack up passing yards, but he has other ways to beat you, such as his legs. I was glad to see them bring this element back. It was a good game for him.

If that was the game flow, then why did we attempt to throw TEN times in the THIRD quarter, while up 24-0? Dak only needed less than 50 yards to get 200, a mark he and the coaches have probably been hearing now for weeks. They tried and he failed..

I’ve been on this forum at least 14 years bro, let alone been watching the Cowboys for over thirty years, when Paul Palmer was running back at 1-15 and Doug Cosbie was our tight end, we had a sexual molester as a kicker in Raphael Septian, Steve Pelleur was taking snaps and so on.

I'll slog through 10 pages later to see if this has been posted in here, but can someone post the W-L stat when Dak throws under 200 but is "efficient"?

I forgot the definition of efficient, but something like 2 TDs no no ints and a 95 rating. I know we tend to win when this happens. I'm not hung up on passing yards, but I like when they win games.

As I predicted yesterday, there will be some posters who are more miserable with a blow out win than if we had lost. And here you have it!

Misery loves company, so please don't let these posters who are miserable make you miserable.

Enjoy the win, it was a good one!

Look at various NFL fans reaction throughout the game yesterday.

The Eagles fans were ticked off with the Cowboys performance.

I like when one Seattle fan stated I am glad the Seahawks did not play this version of the Cowboys.

I also like when one Texans fan stated the Cowboys are a much better team than the Texans.

One Eagles fan: "If they weren't making Dallas look good I’d laugh at Jacksonville. But now they are just pissing me off."

Then a Jaguars fan stated: London you can have this crap.

Almost as strange as the thousand threads trying to say Dak had the greatest game ever and the reason he didn’t break 200 yards passing is because they hung it up on the third, yet Dak went heavy pass and he continued his trend of major suckage in the third quarter.

Guy couldn’t even get thirty yards passing to break 200 yards when trying to throw ten passes on the third in this context, when everything went right around him.

Dak tried throwing it TEN times in the third quarter. How did they not try to get Dak 200 yards passing?

What a maroon

Of course we are a much better team. It’s our QB and HC that holds us back.. not sure what these posts show outside your typical Sunday reaction from fans.

Ok...In no way did I intend a personal jab and I respect you as a long standing fan, but you sound a bit ridiculous after a 40-7 blowout. Getting stuck on 200 yards NOW is pointless regardless of 3rd qtr passing stats. The Jags still have an excellent D.

Dak played an efficient clean WINNING game. I'm more focused on the lack of errors, completion %, 3rd down stats, and pocket awareness. He absolutely killed them with his legs which is something any defender will explain is hard to account for. Would you have rather had a 250 + yard effort in a loss?

I mention Aikman because he had similar stat lines based on the way we were built.

Aikman has similar stat lines in an era where DBs could massacre WRs and safeties could spear guys going over the middle, plus WRs didn’t have sticky gloves like today so short dudes can catch much easier or much faster turfs, meaning WRs in breakaways are that much quicker. QBs very rarely broke 300 yards and now do it regularly.

Aikman had a 60% completion percentage in like 96 and that was the third best in the league and was one of the greatest playoff performers for a QB in history.

Every rule favors passing nowadays so for a QB not being able to pass it regularly is really a joke.

Now I’m going to turn the question around:

how long have you been watching the Cowboys?

Of course they did in the first half, which is a testament to how awful they played defensively with all their miscommunications. They had 2 guys rushing once...

Born in '74 my hardcore fandom was entrenched around "the catch".. so about 80-81ish

LOL.

They have proven that huh? When?

Dez is out of the league...do you have any actual points that are valid?

Allen Hurns? He's been one of the better #2 WR's in the NFL.. Sucks here.

T. Will? Clutch plays and fantastic statistical seasons in Dallas Pre-Dak. Sucks now.

Cole Beasley? One of the best slot WR's in the NFL.. Still one of the best but has been schemed out against teams and we can't exploit the rest of the field.

Gallup? Rookie but shows promise.

Dez? In a horrible year for his standard he had 70 catches for 850 yards and 6 TD's with a HORRIBLE offensive scheme and a average thrower of the football.

Haven't seen one since Troy. Let's hope we finally find another soon.

I love how bad Tony Romo is in your head. You're so insecure and you get crushed in here everyday yet every single post has a Romeo-Related theme.

He owns you, the board owns you, and yet you continue to embarrass yourself. It's actually quite funny.

Sorry - won't be able to respond until tonight - I'm golfing today - really, I am. :)

In the third quarter ALONE, Dak THREW it nine times and the tenth was when he broke pocket after spinning into the DT to the right, but escaped for that gain. Dak homers, as justification for the fact he couldn’t break 200 yards passing, are pinning this like the Cowboys just decided to stop passed. Dak tried PASSING around 70% of the time in third quarter and his most successful play was when he broke pocket on a three man rush, almost spinning himself into a sack.

He made one awful throw that should on the almost INT by Ramsey and the other, series when Heath put them at the Jaguars 8, he threw it twice and cane away with a field goal. The problem with the Ramsey throw was that it was right after Kaguars matched up the field and scored a TD, meaning it could have easily shifted the momentum and put it at 24-14 if they had any competent offense. The next field goal was the off worst throw in NFL history by Bortles to Heath.

Then came the fumble by the Jags and Dallas decided they had enough and ran it with Zeke pretty much every time.

The Jaguars basically adjusted after their incompetent first half and Dak was Dak. The defense also got its TOs against this garbage Jags offense that turned it over five times last week and allowed the Cowboys to pull ahead while Dak floundered passing.

The point being Dak couldn’t even break 200 yards passing when he was still TRYING.
I’m not daks biggest fan but I know how to enjoy a win.
