Roger played longer than that. Fran Tarkenton had a long career. Luck of the draw.Cam Newton has been playing for 7 seasons now.

Russell Wilson?What's that sea hag's Q.B's name?
He's an apt scrambling Q.B.
Yes! That's the dudes nameRussell Wilson?
Not much of a throwing QB either
I did. Dude was a flat out stud. What's funny is out of all the running QB's today, Alex Smith might be the best of them IMO.
Young immediately came to mind. He had slightly better coaches. And some above average receivers.Steve Young ran for over 4K Yards..
How many realized Young ran that much.
Dak has the lower body of Barclay but bigger. Randal Cunningham played in an era where their was no sliding etc. he did fine.......Dak is a truck!
If Dak's going to be our QB they have to let him run. That's part of his game. If it shortens his career then so be it. He just isn't a straight pocket passer. But they still need to upgrade the WR's.
Agreed. If it shortens his career, let him run the ball.
Give Zeke the rest of the season off.
so for Dak to be successful we will need to run some form of a college offense.
why didn't some team change their offense to fit Tebow's running style.Yep.
Take a good deep breath in. Smell it? That's the intoxicating aroma of a franchise QB. Savor it.
To be accurate, both Fran T and Roger we’re more scramblers than runners. They ran principally to extend passing opportunities, rather than running to gain yardage.Roger Staubach did a lot of running as did quarterbacks of that era. Fran Tarkenton comes to mind as well. They were around the NFL for old age statuses.
