most mobile qbs that played for 10 plus years turn out to be good throwers of the football as they age.

If the qb doesn't want to throw it and use legs 5-6 years avg as a starter.

Bobby Douglas (@late ‘60s Chicago Bears) and Michael Vick we’re consistently “running QBs.” Can’t think of any others right now, other than maybe Tebow.

Virtually everyone else, from the post-War era on, is a “scrambler.”

There is a difference.

dual threat quarterback are not accurate enough as a passer to be a pocket quarterback alone. Here lies a problem with many dual threat quarterbacks: a lot of them are not the most accurate passers and use their legs to get out of trouble. Sometimes they can adapt to the NFL, like Marcus Mariota and Michael Vick. Others end up like Vince Young, Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin III, & Tim Tebow.

Russell Wilson, Cam, Steve Young, Steve McNair, McNabb had / are having pretty long careers.

They are all built pretty thick (as is Dak). Wilson and Young are shorter, but still well built.

Dak should be able to handle 5-8 runs a game.

Mcnair could sling the ball downfield, but was erratic. Do you remember that piece too or is your memory selective?

Do I remember your distorted view of McNair? No, I don't.

Besides, even if that would be true it isn't like Prescott. He can't sling the ball downfield AND he's erratic.
