Any one of them could step in and help.
But if we win, it means a WR or a few did something to help. So they will feel good about the WR's. So nothing will happen.

If we lose, this team again shows why it has a lot more issues than a WR. So do not waste draft picks at that point.
Really, many will be back on the GROG Get Rid of Garrett wagon, for those that jumped off after last week.

@Ranching is the trains engineer to take Jason out of the state of Texas. A big :clap:to him, just do it...GROG....:muttley:

I'm convinced ranching is Wade Phillips

I'm not understanding your post.

1st. "WR gets a lot of attention but it hasnt been the problem" so you're saying that we shouldnt acquire a WR because it wont help/help much

2nd. Use one of our top two picks on a WR

Those don't seem to make sense together

I don't think our issues at WR are so significant that we have to pay a premium to bring one in, and I don't think a team is going to be looking to deal any WR who'd actually be a significant upgrade for us for 2018, anyway. So you'd end up trading at a premium for a guy that doesn't give you much more than you have right now.

But I do think WR is an area where we can easily improve this roster when we're at a point in the year where good ones are available. That could also be in FA if it's not a feeding frenzy like it was last season, but I'd rather spend the pick on one since it's cheaper.

Jerry has already made the mistake of trying to blend in a stud wr midseason. It didn't work and we paid a stiff price for Roy Williams. If we do anything at WR , it will be in the offseason.

Can someone name a WR trade midseason that went well?
That's why our best option would be (cough cough)....Dez.

If Dallas beats Washington, it leaves Dal at 4-3 heading into the bye and securely in the NFC East hunt.

Front office can't be happy with the WR production. Do you think they add a WR in FA?

Teams with depth at WR-possible trade partners

NE- Phillip Dorsett/Kevin Hogan
LAC-Mike Williams/Tyrell Williams/Benjamin
MIA-Stills\Parker\Amendola
Raiders-Cooper\Nelson\Lafell\Bryant

Players who could help us: Hogan, Mike Williams, Stills, Cooper
Amari Cooper.

Trade next year's #2 for him.

We need help.

Another WR injury and we are screwed.

Finally got @Bleu Star to stop bringing up ET 10 times a day, now we have to work on you and Dez, Dez, Dez.

Because the Cowboys are being stubborn not getting him back on the team.

He makes us better the second he walks through the door.

Only guys I would want to trade for are the chargers WRs.

No chance they trade then imo

If I'm Dallas I'm not touching Parker or Cooper's contract given their production.
Cooper's contract is up after this year. He's only making $7m.

He's also the only guy, mentioned in this thread, who I think could make any real difference in this offense.

Personally I would like to see Brice Butler get a lot of snaps when he is healthy. He and Dak seemed to do good things together.

We added a wr already that hasn't even played in Butler. Otherwise just bring in lenoir if we need another body he atleast had a solid pre-season here.

Chris Hogan.

And one of the Chargers WRs would be great. They all show up though and SD has their best team in years.

Id take either of the Williams guys, Stills or "Chris" Hogan.

This team needs a weapon on the outside desperately.
curious why Mike Williams name is on the list.speculation or did u read something.
I do see a Randy Gregory for Amari Cooper trade as possibility
11 catches for 95 yards last year
16 catches for 253 yards this year

overall #7 pick.

Trades during the season before the deadline in the NFL are rare. Especially for anyone of impact or importance. There are so few playmakers in the NFL that teams hang onto them. Depth in the NFL is a big luxury. If youre under the cap and have that luxury, then why mess with it. Especially if you are a playoff contender. Its not like MLB where trade deadline deals are common. Even post deadline deals get done for role players. The price would be too high for any kind of trade to happen for an impact player at WR.

You aren't trading at a premium? You're just trading. It happens every season.
Lately teams have actually been overvaluing draft picks, so you get solid contributors for low round picks (Gordon for 5th, Bennett for 6th, Ajayi for 4th etc etc). So youre trading at a discount not a premium.

There is no premium, so we should stop saying that. Who says the guy we'd trade for doesnt give us much more than we do now?

Then in the 2nd paragraph you say "I think WR is an area we can easily improve" after JUST saying in the 1st paragraph "I dont think thered be a significant upgrade for us" regarding the WR position. So which one is it? Is it easy to improve or is it not?

And you're saying don't trade a premium pick on a receiver, but also saying spend a premium pick on one in the offseason.
