Swaim was wide open and had room to pick up some yards

The defense gave up 13 points... 1 TD and two FGs

If you only give up 13 points in this Offensive happy NFL you should win... hell the Browns scored 20+ points today lol

Bro...Swaim is open for a 3 yard gain right there lol....it was 3rd and 14 what are you talking about lol? Defense was trash but got bailed out by Alex Smith and Gruden. Let's call it what it is.

They got so mauled that our D only gave up 13 points in the game (Dak gave up the other 7), what more do you want from our D? Some times i don't understand some of you guys
Their tackling was poor today. They let AP run all over them. Hard to fault them for the loss because they did only give up 13 but this offense needed them to help them with field position and they couldn't' do it once again.

This is worse because we don't completely suck but we aren't good to be Superbowl contenders. This game was so winnable and yet we saw the same crap that has been plaguing us for the last several years. The common denominator: Jerrah and Garrett

This! To many holes starting with coaching, QB and receivers to be SB contender's.

There is no way to lay any blame at all on a D that only gives up 13 points, it's their job to keep the other team off the scoreboard. You would think the offense could do their part and score more than 13

Its this defenses job to get turnovers though. You can't claim to be a great defenses and you don't generate turnovers. There are going to be games where the defense is going to have to bail out the offense. A good defense can.

If you want to call it what it is watch the play with the sack fumble touchdown. Gallup broke wide open at the 30-yard line going directly up the hash marks and dak never saw him

Perfectly designed play and the quarterback never saw the 95 yard touchdown

Somebody posted a picture of it over in the thread entitled "the fundamental flaw with Dak"

It's their job to keep the other team from scoring no matter how they do it. I couldn't care less if the D gets zero turnovers all season as long as they keep team scoring 17 points or less. If they do that it then becomes the job of the offense to win the games because the D more than did their job. We gave up 13 points today on D, we should win this game, but our offense is putrid

You put Linehan and Moore around him, it is hard not to regress.

I am wondering what they are doing in terms of coaching -- he is less and less decisive and mechanics are getting worse.

It is a complete joke.

You keep saying they only gave up 13 as if the Commanders didn't do it to themselves. The Commanders left 2 touchdowns up there.

You mean that the D didn;t let them score? C'mon bud for the season we are giving up 17 points a game (2nd in the league) If your offense can't score 20+ in the NFL then you are screwed. You are smart enough to know that

he missed three wide-open guys on the same play and we ended up with a defensive touchdown for the other team

You're the one who said "let's call it what it is"

In light of that statement i'd say that's a fairly important point to discuss

Not even because the fumble on the goal line. Dak is not getting the ball out fast enough, not throwing the receivers open. He also constantly did not see open receivers for crying out loud. I like Dak but he has not improved his pass read skills. He should also get his eyes examined.

I'm tired of this win on lose one BS we have endured for so dang long. Arggggg!

You are aware this is the status of this team's receivers/TE's.

Geoff Swaim – 59 snaps (Swaim was drafted in the seventh round)

Allen Hurns – 38 snaps (Hurns was not drafted)

Cole Beasley – 37 snaps (Beasley was not drafted)

Deonte Thompson – 36 snaps (Thompson was not drafted)

Michael Gallup – 24 snaps (Gallup is a third-round rookie)

Tavon Austin – 23 snaps (Austin was a first-rounder who needed to resurrect his career and was traded for next-to-nothing if you agreed to take his already-reduced contract)

Blake Jarwin – 18 snaps (Jarwin was not drafted)

Rico Gathers – 7 snaps (Gathers was drafted in the sixth round after having not played football since eighth grade)

Brice Butler – 1 snap (Butler was drafted in the seventh round in 2013 and recently unemployed)

Now tell me again Dak is not throwing the ball quick enough and that the receivers are open.

The point of the game when I knew we were completely incompetent was in the first half. We needed to score, and we were lined up with about 2:11 left in the half...and DAK had no clue the 2 minute warning was near. Garrett made know reaction either. It is stuff like that that just shows this team is unprepared and poorly coached.
