What about when Dak ran for the first down at the end of the game and Romo draws up the not 1 but 2 receivers wide open for TD's? I get Dak played better. But he misses too many reads - He holds the ball too much. I wish he was the guy but he isn't. And after watching some of the fil breakdowns I cant blame this stuff on coaching or the receivers.
1st down.

Romo is great in the booth .

Yuppers...Collins doesn't check any boxes for me as far as RT. Hes a dominant LG,period. At RT hes just a guy. Not sure wth we are forcing the issue by insisting he play RT.

Collins was never a dominant LG, no idea where that myth started but it's one I've heard a lot from people that think a team needs 5 Pro-Bowlers on the OL to run the ball or protect the QB.

And all those fumbles. Four now in two games if I recall.

Wow, 17 whole points. Ain't he just grand?
Ha...nice...made plays on both fumbles last week bud.

I should also point out...#5 defense in the league on the road with no one that scares anyone at skill positions and no running game.

Well it is patently clear from the way opposing Defences line up that Dak throwing it doesn't scare them.

Daks' end zone fumble was awful and on him. The funny thing is that if he doesn't fumble, the Skins get the ball with the lead, 5 minutes left and terrific field position, so we might have ended up worse off.

But the reason it was a safety was the holding call on a beautiful conversion on the previous play. And you can't have missed all the passes that went through or clanged off receivers' hands (including Elliott's) or that they failed to fight hard enough for, or the coaches yelling at Butler for not running through his routes.

I have no idea why people insist on finding one single person to blame. The offense is bad because it doesn't have nearly enough talent to be good, and the talent we have meshes together poorly and is a bad fit for the playbook (that's on the coaches).

Romo had weapons. Dak doesn't.

Dak has good enough weapons. Good quarterbacks would go up and down the field and score routinely with Dallas' offense.

Teams simply don't respect Dak. At all. That's why we see these middle school defensive alignments against us all the time. They just gang up on Zeke and bet Dak can't make more than 3-4 throws a game worth a damn downfield. It's workiing.

I'm for drafting a top flight QB. However expecting a QB to come in out of college and to be the magical fix it to the rest of the Cowboys problems puts pressure on him and hinders him, especially if Garrett remains the head coach. As I said Dak can be called out when he plays bad, but that doesn't mean the other players and the coaches on the time should be let off of the hook for their bad play. Blaming the bad run game on Dak, when Dak can't control how the O line let's defenders through to Zeke for a loss of yards. The Oline getting penalties at the worst times to wipe out big plays/first downs isn't going to help out Dak and it's not going to help a young QB trying to adjust his talents to the NFL. And WRs dropping balls that hit them in the hands for sure aren't going to help out any young QB, especially one who needs those plays to happen to gain confidence in the NFL.

So, we replace Dak by drafting a QB, but the front office fails to address the other issues on the team and we are back to square one only this time there will be a bunch of threads blaming the new QB. Like Romo and Dak has been blamed, yet Garrett sticks around.

At least we would have the biggest puzzle piece in place.
If the Cowboys replace Dak then they must replace head coach.

no but we DO NEED a competent rt. He isn't that good. Left guard is where he belongs. He is more productive.

Just like Byron Jones, it will take a coach from the outside to make that move.

Not even because the fumble on the goal line. Dak is not getting the ball out fast enough, not throwing the receivers open. He also constantly did not see open receivers for crying out loud. I like Dak but he has not improved his pass read skills. He should also get his eyes examined.

I'm tired of this win on lose one BS we have endured for so dang long. Arggggg!
Aside from the fumbles Dak played a very good game. His 26 yard run that got called back wasn't his fault. He had a good game. That tight window throw to Beasley in the middle of the field was beautiful. That is what top tier QBs can do. He overshot Beasley by a yard on that left side throw but the next play he made up for it. If Prescott can play like that every game without the fumbles we will be fine
