While I agree with you on the TE position I totally disagree with you on the Jones family. You obviously haven't been paying attention because that whole dynamic has changed over the last several years. Will McClay is making the vast majority of talent decisions and the Jones are deferring him. Be objective and try not to hate. I know hating is popular on this board and others tend to follow suit but take a step back and contemplate what the organization has been doing in the last few years. We are a playoff caliber defense. They have taken the big risk in trading a #1 for a much needed WR. The fired their OLC coach. The organization is doing what is necessary.
3-4. 5-3 last year to start. 4-4 to finish. 13-3 the year before. Quick exit in the layoffs. 4-12 the year before that. 2014 was good I will give you that. Lots of mediocrity before that. No playoffs. Just be honest - This is an average team. Could be good with a good coach. The difference between 5-2 and 3-4 is the coach. They will NEVER win with him at the helm. That is objective. Why? 8 plus seasons - 1 playoff win. The proof is there. No team besides the Bengals would allow that.
2 seasons ago the Rams were doormats. Today, they are likely the SB favorite. I bet even you can tell what is different.
What is NOT objective is claiming this team is doing what is necessary. They fired a coach that should have never had the job and overpaid for a WR (Done that before). How is that doing what is necessary? It is desperation. When this team is done with the next 6 games one of us is going to be eating some crow.
