I have noticed that for quite some time. I too have to go back to Aikman as the last true leader.

When is the last true leader you remember on this team?

Romo tried but never really got the respect but never exactly demanded it. Didn’t work.

Dez, some thought he was a locker room divider like TO. Not true, he was a very passionate player that would get in players faces to pump them up and sometimes argued. Did I agree with him clearing off the gator side table or yelling at some. No, but when he tries to be a leader it wasn’t received well.

D-Ware, tried to lead by example, didn’t work.

Witten, a stand up player that again leads by example, didn’t work.

No player really becomes a leader here. And you hear it all the time, where are the leaders. Time for the leaders to stand up and take control.

Had Elliot and Dak that they said was gonna do the job. Elliot has been silenced by our playcalling and Dak can’t seem to get it going and you don’t see him in the faces of the O-Line or TE when they miss a block or get a penalty.

The Hot Boyz started hot but D-Law is really just wanting a big contract. I don’t blame him but he isn’t going to be a leader.

Everyone just wants a paycheck. I think it’s the condition that JJ has set up here. The atmosphere. He wouldn’t mind having some players that are leaders. He just don’t want a HC to be one. Takes away from his glory. Without a true leader on the sidelines it’s always gonna be tough.

Aikman demanded respect and took control of the Offense. That was a long long time ago.
Simply put- we have way too many RKGs like I have always said.

JJ will never let that happen. He gets the players but won’t get the staff and give them the power to run it.
Yep after he won that second Super Bowl he thought he was invincible and it was all him that ran that and accomplish that and he could do no wrong we all see where that ended up

You're funny, Travis Frederick, Sean Lee, Dak all have been identified as leaders in the lockeroom.
In the locker room maybe but they need to show it out on the field during the game that's when it really counts

Irvin was the last great leader IMO,, he elevated everyone around him by his actions and play on the field, not by acting the fool on the sidelines,,,
never saw a temper tantrum from Irvin, but I saw plenty of dominating performances that carried this team to championships and SBs.
His play on the field elevated this team.
I just don't see that type of player on this roster any more, not like that.
I believe Dez wanted to emulate that type of character, but he never even came close.
Yep I would agree with you along with Aikman Aikman pretty much kept the offense in Check Irvin fired up the whole team

My favorite one was the game where he went over to the offensive line and told them this was an embarrassment out there an ******* embarrassment, and he got on them often the cameras just happen to catch that one

This team doesn't have much of nothing, coaching, quarterback but fans who are delusional that we are one player short of a superbowl. lmao "hey they're always the draft, ooops no we don't have a first either" lmao

Sometimes its not just one or the other, sometimes its both.
I really have come to the conclusion that not only does this team not have the proper coaching in place, but the talent level is no where near as high as the fan base is believing it is.
Yeah. I maybe a homer sometimes and expect pro bowl play from a average player. But when you watch a rookie QB come in and go 13-2 it’s hard to expect different.

This team was neutered by Dez's exile.

We now have no "real" dogs to fight with.

Paired with our HC, we are now the Tin Man of the NFL. We have zero heart, and a nice shiny veneer.

The Emperor has truly has no clothes.

I too agree.....and it is evident when the team starts out really good and then fizzles out...but that too can be coaching...but cowboys seem to never make adustments anymore where we outplay teams in second half?....and i think lack of leadership plays into that too

Richards is the closest thing to a “motivational coach” on this team so unless he becomes HC we need some key players to put the star on the chest
