A nice, much-needed win for the Cowboys. I was in the camp that thought they would get beaten— embarrased even— by the defending champions. So, I am pleasantly surprised and very happy with the win. However, like many of us, I’ve seen this show a few times before. Can the Cowboys build some momentum off this impressive win? Will they go on to put together a nice little mid-season winning streak? Or will they exhale deeply at the momentary relief this win gives them and then get completely pole-axed by the Falcons next week? Regrettably, history suggests— and my instincts tells me— it will be the latter scenario. I look forward to them proving me wrong again. Regardless, we fans should savor tonight’s victory.
I'm happy with the win, but I don't know that I'd call it "impressive".

I really do think Dak haters can suck it for one night. Maybe not next week or the week after, but definitely suck it tonight lol.

Lets go COWBOYS!

I guess Dak supporters can resume the position....

Just a question.

Is there a possibility Witten felt Jerry was disloyal to Romo and that is why he left suddenly?

There would always be a post football announcer gig for Witten.

Just curious.

Is there any other way to explain it?

Would've been the perfect sports night had the Lakers lost. Ugh.

The big takeaway from this game, for me, is the frustrating inconsistency that you can see with this team. In the end, I think that boils down to coaching and game plan. I don't know why, but the Cowboys seem to thrive playing the underdog. Perhaps Tennessee is just way better than people are giving them credit for, especially after the L the handed to the Patriots today, but the team looked markedly different this week playing on the road against a division rival versus a non-conference matchup at home that was supposed to be an easy W.

Dak still has a long way to go, but I think he can be an efficient enough passer to keep drives going so long as the running game is able to get some chunk plays. The OL played better. The secondary is still giving up too many big plays, but I think once we have some better quality players playing at S that should work itself out. The time management and play calling while protecting the lead were questionable, but again, that comes down to the coaches.

So what's the solution?

I'm going to enjoy this win for a bit. That game was awesome. There will be time for analysis later.
