Who is still rooting for losses?

Announce yourselves! If you aren't fully on board, you're rooting for losses. If you're conflicted by wins because you want Garret/Linehan/Dak to fail, then you're rooting for losses. If you're thinking about draft position, you're rooting for losses.

And I know this team hasn't won anything and can still fall short of the goal. But I'll be damned if I"m going to root for anything but wins, however they come. And if you are rooting for losses, then you don't get to enjoy the season, I'm sorry.

I was rooting for losses but after the two wins we are too in the middle of things now which is enough to please jerry.

Garrett may stay so I'm now rooting for atleast a new OC with a creative mindset.

We must be the only fan base that calls out other fans for their opinions

I don't see anyway they can keep Dak and Linehan. They need to get the QB friendliest OC that can find and probably should have brought in Turner when he was available.

Fake fans, Wentz babies who are sick and tired of seeing their boy bested by the Cowboys 2016 4th rounder, Garrett bashers...

The Garrett bashers I can understand. I was annoyed as hell when we let the last 10 seconds of the half expire.

How is anyone a fake fan for acknowledging the obvious with Dak?

Dak is a mediocre bus driver QB that is one of the worst passers in the league.

I like Dak.. He has all the intangibles in the world and he is a winner but so is Tim Tebow.

You don’t know that he isn’t the long-term answer just like I don’t know that he is the long-term answer.

What we do know is that he is the team’s starting QB, he has a 27-15 record and his overall career numbers are pretty freaking good.

He does still need to get better. Luckily for us, he has all the intangibles (like you said) and will keep working his butt off. Romo at age 25 was also FAR from a finished product.

If 2016 doesn’t count because it was 2 years ago, then a year from now 2017 won’t count for Carson Wentz. Fair?

I dont root for them to lose. I root for Garrett to be replaced.
I like the team but they wont go far with Garrett coaching them. I see another 9-7 and early exit from playoffs if they happen to get in.

He's the answer until the first chance we get to upgrade and when we gave away our first rounder we were stuck with another year of Dak.

No we're applauding Cooper for being our new decoy and that's why I hated wasted picks on a guy to just run off coverage all game.

That is the problem we are in with Jerry. He'll accept mediocre all day when it comes to Garrett.

I think Linehan gets replaced regardless in another attempt to save Garrett. They will hope they can get the Kris Richard effect on offense.

I think most people stopped rooting for losses after we traded our 1st round pick. It's obvious there are serious problems with this offense. A few weeks ago, it looked like our season was lost and an early 1st round pick for a QB plus a coaching overhaul looked like the only way to improve for the long term. I still don't think we're a very good team and our offensive problems haven't really been fixed. But after a bizarre turn for the Eagles and an unfortunate injury for the Commanders, we look to be in the driver's seat in the NFC East. Any reasonable person should want a chance at a title over a high 2nd round pick. Now do I think we'll get destroyed by any legitimate playoff team? We'll see in two weeks.

I will never understand wasting a year and hoping we lose. Out of respect for the players especially.

If you judged all QBs by age 25, you’d be throwing a LOT of future HOFers away before they hit their stride. That’s all I’m saying.

Romo at age 25 (a year before he took over as the starter) didn’t look like a franchise QB either.

Dak has already shown that he CAN be that guy. Will he improve and do it consistently enough? That’s the question.

I brought up Wentz because it’s been a popular topic here.

Wentz looks the part and has better arm talent than Dak at this point. But he has a worse overall record, has worse overall stats and hasn’t been clutch AT ALL in his young career.

So which do you go by? Potential or performance? You could argue for either side, but the reality is that we don’t know who will end up being the better player with the better career.

Bill Parcells said it best: “Performance is everything. Potential is nothing.”

I'm not so sure Garrett is safe yet, but I want us to win too. I was one of the chaps thinking that tanking was going to be necessary since a top pick was in range and we didn't look all that formidable offencively. I felt that a top pick and new offencive coaches would give us what we need to make a massive run next season. However, once Jerry decided that he was going all in, I, of course, had to go all in. So far, looks like a good idea actually, despite my disliking of surrendering first round picks.

Here is the problem with that "hoping they get worse so they get better" thinking. It is nothing more than assumption that Garrett would be fired, under any circumstances. Any time anyone tried to get Booger to admit Garrett was on the hot seat, he refused to play along.

There is no evidence, not a shred, that Garrett was coaching for his job this season. Just evidence to the contrary.

I am not into that rooting for losses but there would be one case that would cause me to do that, wholeheartedly and with gusto. If the Jones family were to get the hell out if the team went 6-10, I'd root for 11 losses.

Yep. Garrett is just the scapegoat. The bigger problem is the Jones family. A better coach wouldn't help us nearly as much as a hands-off owner and a real GM.

Ever since we traded away our first round pick I think that was a dumb mindset. Nothing to gain from losing games.
