How does Jerry watch a game like that and think Garrett is acceptable?

So a team has to score 30 points per game to be considered an "explosive" offense?

Now you are moving the goal posts. Yes, explosive offenses usually score points on a consistent basis. Otherwise, they are not generally considered explosive.

Let’s see how they look at the end of the season. I’m not sure either of these teams makes it to the big game right now.
I agree. I don’t think the chiefs make it with that Defense. I think the saints will be a tough match up for the rams too.

You get the sense that the league is passing us by when you watch teams like the Rams and Chiefs. Compare that performance to the dink and dank crap we had to sit through yesterday for 3 hours against one of the worst defenses in the league and it's easy to see why some find it hard to be optimistic about this team even after 2 straight wins. This is a slow walk to the slaughterhouse if this team makes the playoffs.

After 10+ years, Garrett should have our offense running like a well-oiled machine. How does Jerry and Stephen not even blink while witnessing other coaches achieve it in a 1/5th of the time afforded to Garrett? I just don't get it. Is comfortability THAT important?

Jerry doesn't see a difference between mahomes and Dak. Play calling and route combinations have gotten better but Dak still can't figure out how to throw to open guys.

It's funny that you think that Jerry is up watching the game, he's been in bed for hours. It's easy for him to justify his team when he doesn't actively watch other teams around the league, except for when we play against them. We didn't need a #1 WR until we played against the Texans and Hopkins. That's why he can compare our team to the Rams, he doesn't watch them play. There's no forward thinking or innovation, unless it involves marketing, it's reactionary and built around his own beliefs and comfort level.

Playcalling still sucks. Garrett and Linehan still suck at playcalling. Both Maholmes and Goff are surrounded by talent also.

This Cowboys team is made to run the ball pure and simple. We can't be a high powered offense until we change coaches.

I know you are, and I know you do. But then I see a comment that shows your frustration at the other sides frustration and I feel the need to reel you in from the dark side you used to be on. LOL, admit it Idgit, even though it's taken you 5-6-7-8-10 years, you've finally decided enough is enough also.

Not sure what interpretation of my post history you're tying to use here, but it's not mine. I've always recognized the issues in Dallas in general and with Jerry's ownership in particular. Where I get sideways of most of the posting public is that I don't think the issues are primarily coaching.

Which one(s) do you disagree with?

That we're trending downward as an organization. That we have 'no hope' of winning a Superbowl this season, and that we're venturing into Fisher's Rams territory.

Fixed it for you. We will always run more but a better QB would give us a passing attack. Dak is a dink and dunk manager at best. A good game for him is when he gets above 200 yards, something most QB's do easily. The game plan is set based on daks passing skill set. Dak could not run the Rams or chiefs offense. He's never been a downfield guy, ever, not in college, hs, peewee, in someone's dreams.

I feel like our fanbase would be blasting this team like crazy had we just won/or lost giving up 50+ points... Heck I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened after that Broncos game a few years back.

Wrong title.... should read as follows......

How does Jerry watch a game like that and think Dak is acceptable?

Even though Garrett has over stayed his welcome the problem with our offense is our QB....can't design or execute many passing plays when your QB doesn't have the goods talent wise....

No one says that Dak abilities are close to where the Rams or Chiefs are. Not even close. However, Dak's weaknesses can be fixed with proper coaching. Which he doesn't have the luxury because our coaches are just terrible. We probably have the worst set of offensive coaches in the NFL. You have bad coaching you get the results that were seeing on the field. Sure Dak still has weaknesses he needs to work on. I'm not certain that can be fixed. But certainly not with the coaches we have.

What you Dak haters are forgetting that coaching matters. Just look at what happened to the Rams.

The game plan is not set on Dak's passing skill set. It set on Garrett's playbook and made for a pocket passer like Aikman. If it was made for Dak we would be seeing more bootlegs, play action, RPOs, etc.
