How does Jerry watch a game like that and think Garrett is acceptable?

That we're trending downward as an organization. That we have 'no hope' of winning a Superbowl this season, and that we're venturing into Fisher's Rams territory.
What meds are you on?? I want some too.

I feel like our fanbase would be blasting this team like crazy had we just won/or lost giving up 50+ points... Heck I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened after that Broncos game a few years back.
Romo got blasted not the team. Even though the defense was disgracefully terrible.

No one says that Dak abilities are close to where the Rams or Chiefs are. Not even close. However, Dak's weaknesses can be fixed with proper coaching. Which he doesn't have the luxury because our coaches are just terrible. We probably have the worst set of offensive coaches in the NFL. You have bad coaching you get the results that were seeing on the field. Sure Dak still has weaknesses he needs to work on. I'm not certain that can be fixed. But certainly not with the coaches we have.

What you Dak haters are forgetting that coaching matters. Just look at what happened to the Rams.

The game plan is not set on Dak's passing skill set. It set on Garrett's playbook and made for a pocket passer like Aikman. If it was made for Dak we would be seeing more bootlegs, play action, RPOs, etc.
The coaches can't make Dak set his feet or step into throws. They also can't give him pocket awareness that doesn't make him create his own pressure/sacks.

Frank Reich has turned Luck back around. It's funny what good coaching can do.
Luck has always had talent. In case you forgot he has been injured and also had an OL that actually sucked unlike here where the OL was made to look like crap because of the drunk bus driver standing behind them.

Because two years ago we were the darlings and the Rams were the dogs.

And just last year this same Chiefs team said Dallas was the best team in the league the week after they played us.

That’s how the league is these days. You guys need to let some of the irrational hate go. You’re only frustrating yourselves.
Credit to personnel. Credit to McClay and the scouting department. The coaching on this team is mediocre at best. And the talent at QB is not as good, even if Dak has intangibles. Jerry hired the right personnel guy at the wrong time while he had a great QB, and when he still had the better QB to possibly take them to a Super Bowl in 2016, he listened to the mediocre coaching staff and sat him. That team had its best chance to win a Super Bowl since 2006 and they went with a rookie QB. Jerry is what is mostly wrong with the Cowboys, and the coaching staff is next.

Because Jerry is a sentimental idiot who see's what he wants to see instead of reality.

I thought about this, umm lets see it was a 3point game there were TYOs by there QBs Fumbles Missed Xpoints..really its relative either you play a low scoring close game with defense and clock control or you play a high scoring close game..it was a 3 point game so whats the point of scoring so many points if you cant stop anyone?

right now there are what 5 teams playing this style ,,some maybe coming but out of 32 the way the cowboys play is still the Norm in the NFL.. I watch the big 12 and im not a fan of high scoring games that still end by less then a score for the win with nearly no defense..again its relative still close games but what more exciting, but how if the fans still have to wait until the final drive to win or lose just like us?

if we played with a little more downfield offense, a little more aggression and creativity thats great but I wont ne happy scoring 51 if we gave up 48..im not sure if this is trend or a direction because ive seen offenses similar to this at times with Pmanning, Brady that one year with moss, the Rams Greatest show on turf, and other sporatic teams that found a dynamic Offense but the rest of the NFL just played NFL ball and those offenses didnt produce a ton of championships did they?

so what if all 32 plays like college and the big 12 in particular so we still see close games but high scoring and everyone's the same? its becoming Arena league and I dont like it..whats next flag football.. I like the NFL style because its hard hitting hard nosed Man up or go home play instead of finesse..

also notice how FN long that game was? im not sure I was impressed..again we need change but going all like this , not sure thats the answer either..

I’m not impressed by an offense that throws 6 TDs and 3 INTs in the same game, sorry. Don’t get me wrong, the Cowboys should air it out more. But both teams abandoned the running game tonight and any attempt to control the clock.

Garrett’s gameplan over the past two games has been just fine. Run Zeke, use the RPO, play action, and play great defense.
thats what I see as you see my earlier comment whats the point if you still only win late by score? its relative..we need more creativity and aggression maybe a bit more scoring but these types of games dont do anything if your opposition is mirror of yourself.. 17-14 or 51-48 its the same outcome

how do you think 32 teams can all find a QB/WR/TE/RB and depth to play this way? is it a trend I mean 3-5 teams play like this right now..im not sure the entire NFL can ALL convert to this..its starting to look like basketball where you might as well tune in to the last 5mins and watch that as thats the actual game as time gets tight within 10points and no need to see the trading baskets for the 40 mins prior..

Romo threw the big int not the team but then Garrett caught hell for it just as well. and Denver Defense was just as disgraceful but managed to make the big play and picked off Romo

For Jerry to even contemplate extending Dak after looking at those two qb's last night is just mind boggling. Sure extend Dak as a long term backup but find an All Star QB please Jerry.

that play in that game does no one remember the olinemen driven back into Romo as he was following through that caused that INT.. that was a heck of game..

I remember it well he threw the int. Garrett has had top offense in this league as well but when you lose you catch hell, Romo was the QB we had no rings yet somehow he is beyond blame, excuses are made and others left to take the fall.

Not only that, his leg was stepped on right when he threw, affecting his follow through to the TE who was not Witten (I can't even remember his name) ran a poorer route than should have been run in the sense that he was supposed to cut across horizontally instead he drifted back a yard from the line which allowed the defender to step in front and pick off the pass.

That's what makes me mad. People miss these subtleties and just blame Romo. We're not even in that game if it wasn't for him. The guy just seemed to have bad luck at the most inopportune of times trying to overcome deficiencies elsewhere on the team. Someone else or has to to step up and make a play sometimes too.

There aren't actually that many explosive offenses in the league Rn.
Yeah, this is a meme that should have died over a month ago... Besides the Rams, Chiefs, and Saints I don't see many offenses that can be considered "explosive" today.
