How does Jerry watch a game like that and think Garrett is acceptable?

that play in that game does no one remember the olinemen driven back into Romo as he was following through that caused that INT.. that was a heck of game..
Don't forget escobust's crap route that allowed the LB to cross his face. If 82 was running that route it = 1st down.

Not only that, his leg was stepped on right when he threw, affecting his follow through to the TE who was not Witten (I can't even remember his name) ran a poorer route than should have been run in the sense that he was supposed to cut across horizontally instead he drifted back a yard from the line which allowed the defender to step in front and pick off the pass.

That's what makes me mad. People miss these subtleties and just blame Romo. We're not even in that game if it wasn't for him. The guy just seemed to have bad luck at the most inopportune of times trying to overcome deficiencies elsewhere on the team. Someone else or has to to step up and make a play sometimes too.
Nope. Romo just sucked.

its true he didnt come back for the ball, you see Swaim bail out Dak by doing just that on similar play Sunday? I did and the announcer pointed it out..you cant just sit down and watch a Defender go grab an INT, whos the receiver?

Escobust just flat out ran a lazy **** route. He curled it instead of making his cut sharp. If he route is sharp like it was supposed to be the LB can't make that play. At worst it's an incompletion. There's a reason why Escobust is no longer in the league.

Exactly this. How does Jerry watch the game last night and think about giving Dak an extension?
I think you miss the point, its not all Dak, we RUN A LOT its OUR OFENSE, and this has more to do with coaching first Dak second..we need a new OC, QB Coach and really a HC change of philosophy and no we dont need those type numbers just a bit more routes where deep passes are first read.. but its not on Dak that we use this route tree and are really running team , Zekes our Guy and he not only runs but hes now finally being used a receiver more..this is who we are as an offense and I dont blame it all on Dak, yes some for sure, he misses some downfield open guys and early in the year he dumped it down when he had open guys in the endzone..its product of taking on your Coaches personality and we are not aggressive enough and hes trying to stay within the framework of the offense..we all already know changes are needed , the constant reminders here are useless, its not new News Bro..

Because two years ago we were the darlings and the Rams were the dogs.

And just last year this same Chiefs team said Dallas was the best team in the league the week after they played us.

That’s how the league is these days. You guys need to let some of the irrational hate go. You’re only frustrating yourselves.

We were the darlings because of our talent.

Our schemes still sucked.

Garrett coaches with ego so when you're oline can just bull doze of course coaching isn't as important but imagine talent with coaching.

I’m not impressed by an offense that throws 6 TDs and 3 INTs in the same game, sorry. Don’t get me wrong, the Cowboys should air it out more. But both teams abandoned the running game tonight and any attempt to control the clock.

Garrett’s gameplan over the past two games has been just fine. Run Zeke, use the RPO, play action, and play great defense.
Do you really think the run game was going to keep up with a team that is scoring at will? The run game will get you into more third downs and that in effect will lead to more punts. It seems you can only stick with a running game when you have a really good defense. Ultimately, you will end up getting blown out. Just watch this play out when we play the Saints next week.

Remind me what we did last time we were in the playoffs?
We made inspirational t shirts during the off week and were unprepared at home for a team that we beat handily on the road during the regular season. Because, clappy.

Of course. Best record in the conference, twice, with two different QBs, and an owner who creates his own circus, but it’s in spite of the coaching.

this cowboys team cant compete with the rams or saints in the nfc if they make the playoffs they may win the first game but when they play one of those teams at their place they will lose by thirty points to them the cowboys coaching and qb play is just not good enough to hang with those two teams

You get the sense that the league is passing us by when you watch teams like the Rams and Chiefs. Compare that performance to the dink and dank crap we had to sit through yesterday for 3 hours against one of the worst defenses in the league and it's easy to see why some find it hard to be optimistic about this team even after 2 straight wins. This is a slow walk to the slaughterhouse if this team makes the playoffs.

After 10+ years, Garrett should have our offense running like a well-oiled machine. How does Jerry and Stephen not even blink while witnessing other coaches achieve it in a 1/5th of the time afforded to Garrett? I just don't get it. Is comfortability THAT important?
Jerry will spin it that he has a better defense than either of those teams.......:)

Have you ever worked for or led an organization that accomplished great things?

After things fall apart, you continue to look for ways to recreate the magic in the following years. You try a bunch of stuff, but nothing works.

You turn to the folks who shared that magic all those years ago, and try to get the band back together again.

But you know what? Almost 100% of the time, you can never go back.

And the more you cling to it, the more disappointed you become.

Sometimes it's better to move on and try to create something different - the magic may not be the same ... but success in almost any form is always sweet.

Yes.

Our schemes are trash. I don't know how you can't see this but hey if that's what you find acceptable then by all means go ahead.

Our coaches rely on talent and make us easy to defend and if we can't out athlete the other team then we're in trouble because the coaches are trash.

It's been a little better the past couple of weeks but the amount of scrutiny it's taken to get these clowns doing things like not taking the ball first or not running every single time on first down is what should've got them thrown out the door.

They do not understand 2018 football and it shows with their pre-historic approach to football.

Y/A:
Mahomes 10.4
Goff 8.4
Dak 6.5

Upcoming QBs:
Brees 12.1
Luck 10.2

I agree with the OP in general, but in fairness, these stats are a bit skewed, first in that the QBs mentioned are the elite of the elite this season, and not relative to overall QB play in the NFL, and second that the 6.5 average for Dak is over this past week and not over the season. Dak still falls well short on the season averages, but not as short as these averages suggest.
