Better route runner which means his QB could trust him to both be where he's supposed to be and could also trust him to put full effort into getting open.
Absolutely no idea. I was simply answering your question.
Their are plenty of these type of guys in this league, that can give you that AND cost less than a first round pick.

Im also seeing minimal difference in this offense from this season with cooper than last year with Dez

I was/am against giving up the first for a WR.

Cooper is starting to really help.

Had, fool. Had. Past tense. As in the last time we could compare their stats.

Im talking about the season where clowns like you wanted him off this team because he “sucked”, yet he had better stats than the WR we just gave up a first round pick for.

Yes I wanted him gone and I got my wish. Happy Days!! It was like having Christmas in April! Loved watching the Dez meltdown and the Dez Fan Boi meltdown. Epic!

You do realize that Dez begged to get his job back and play for peanuts and the Cowboys still turned him down, right? Lol. What a slap of reality that must have been for poor Dez.

Now with a few weeks under our belt, and Cooper having proved himself in opening up the offense, plus with 3 wins in his 3 games here our draft pick is likely going to be later than those terrified we were going to be handing over a top 5 / 10 pick were fearing, do you now support the trade for Cooper?[
Nothing against Cooper but I would have rather drafted a rookie next year with that 1st rounder. Zeke and Dak are going to get paid soon and it is going to cost us big money. Throw in another big ticket contract for Cooper sooner than what a rookie deal would have been and we are strapped for cash again. Lets not forget about D-Law as well!

Yeah and then the best team in the NFL signed him. Whats your point?

That's the one drawback. On the plus side there is now ramp up time. He is contributing immediately. You can see a tangible difference already.

I didn't in the beginning but after thinking it through, if we took that same 1st rd pick to draft a WR it's unlikely he would do much in his first year or two...or maybe not pan out at all. This way we still have a young player that's already proven he can be successful in this league.

A lot of us are looking at it the same way.

For camp fodder? Lol. He was signed for pocket change as the trash 5th or 6th receiver. Lol. Is Dez your daddy or something?
Camp fodder? LOL. Funny that their “5th or 6th receiver” performed better than our 1st receiver. Speaks volumes on the Dallas Cowboys

We are competing for the division title, then I am fine with the trade. I want to be a playoff team. You can not win the SB if you do not make the playoffs, and there is always a chance that you can get on a roll and win it all...

I still stand where I did. To me,that’s a trade you make when your team is already set and making a run. Like a NO,KC,LAR...ect to get the full value of the deal. Dallas feels to me like always being on ice. It really feels like that for me watching them pass. “Oh please, please, just whatever you do don’t go into 2nd and 13 here.... ...aaaaand great, just great. Bring on the FG.”..followed by..”Oh please.please.just whatever you do don’t blow this kick right here Maher.” Loool
I was wrong though on Cooper,he’s been much better than I thought he would do,and does help. Been doing a good job,and it’s not him it’s them.
They play dysfunctional small ball, and he’s a big play WR. Dak simply has to be a more deep threat to make this pay off. You can’t justify a first and a high salary, just to catch 3-5-7 and be there to help open it up for the other guys, and that’s Dallas’ offense for you. They stink in the red zone, they don’t throw deep much...and everything rides on down and distance situations that they struggle staying out of bad ones with. They just aren’t ready, even when winning these games.

If we didn't make the trade and ended say 4-12, sure we could've gotten a marquee QB, but with Cooper, we're 3-0. We are not on track to be drafting a day-one starter... and Dak continues to impress and improve.
You do know we lost to the Titans, right?
