...The numbers indicate Prescott is having a slightly better season in Year Three than in 2017, with a higher passer rating (93.2), completion percentage (65.2) and only five interceptions through 11 games. Still, anyone who watched Prescott play against the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving saw the young quarterback’s shortcomings.

The 25-year old still struggles with accuracy, overthrowing his receivers at times and sending passes into the turf on others. Prescott’s vision as a passer must also be questioned as he’s often very slow in making his reads, requiring extra time in the pocket his patchwork offensive line is often unable to give him.

One of the best examples of Prescott’s lack of development from Thursday’s win over Washington was late in the second quarter. Dallas had the ball on the Commanders four-yard line with 1:42 left in the first half, and the score tied at seven...

...Prescott and this coaching staff in Dallas have had three years to improve his fundamentals, his footwork, his accuracy and his vision as a passer. And, for the most part, all we’ve seen is a regression from his rookie season. Prescott continues to show us who he is and who he isn’t. Maybe it’s time more people started believing in the player that he is, and not the one they hope he’ll become.

My goodness he is in his 3rd season...literally. Had no chance to learn behind a veteran QB because Mr Glass was shattered. He is growing as a QB and we are starting to see some of the things that make him a winner. He will get better as he goes through the new experiences just like Wentz can't be judged just yet. The talent is there; just be patient.

We honestly don’t know if Dak has hit his celiling or not. No one can tell for sure. He has some tendencies he may never get rid of. But I think his reads over time will get faster, and his understanding of coverages and defenses will get better. Which will hopefully have him getting the ball out faster. He is learning to trust his arm and Recievers more.

Him taking those sacks instead of throwing the ball away or getting out before the pressure gets there maybe something he never shakes.

Cooper provided the majority of Dak's completion yard on 180 yards and most of all of that on YAK...now, exactly how much was thrown over the past two weeks, not to Cooper?

Seems lots of people expect Dak to be almost perfect. I agree he misses some easy stuff. But that can be improved on. Not even 3 seasons under his belt yet.

I look at this a bit differently.

He has regressed.

But look what changed for him since 2016.

The OL has now lost 3 starters so far this year.

That's major.

It means a lot less time to make those reads. The clock has speed up for him.

He feels the pressure but is not going to make excuses.

Zeke's court case and suspention made it I'm possible to win last year.

He does at times seem he holds the ball too long. Romo did this alot. Trying to make big plays downfield.

So while it's OK with Romo..DAK is getting criticized.

I hate when he gets sacked. But it's not always him. And I am not a coach so not really qualified there to know why.

But right now the team is playing for him despite the injuries. Overcoming injuries is part of winning football.

We are doing that again.

That's a pretty good point about Eli - I never looked at Dad that way. But he'll have to get away with some extremely lucky throws in the playoffs like Eli did.

I don't think Dak has hit his ceiling but I also think it's fair to say he should be further along at this point. Dak is one of the hardest players to figure out in my 40 years of watching the Cowboys.

It's like he's a trained Tiger, sure I can admire him, even pet him, but I'm scared to death he'll kill me before it's over because at the end of the day...

He is what he is.

This was a breakout game for Cooper. That defines directions now, not before...we shall soon see the route taken from now, forward.
