Dak has been bashed pretty badly here for his dropoff since his rookie season. It seems to me that Wentz is having some of the same issues that Dak is. Teams have figured out what he does well and what he doesn't do well and are exploiting that.

There is hope for Dak and there is hope for Wentz. I'm just saying that Dak isn't unique in this phenomenon.

Have you compared their stats?

If Wentz is in a "slump" where is Dak? In a ditch?

Silly point.

He would have last year if he didn't get hurt in the Rams game. And technically, I believe they clinched in the game they won where he got hurt.
You're probably right since Nick Foles was able to win a SB on that team.

AGAIN, you simply don't understand the game of football or the QB position. Wentz is another great example that proves this ridiculous theory dead wrong. Wentz has not "regressed", he had a major injury. Takes time. Throw into the equation that their running game has been non existent since the injury to their #1 back, and the decreased play of the defense and you have your problems for the "slump" as you would incorrectly call it.

Just like there are a whole host of reasons why Dak isn't playing like he did in 2016. All obvious stuff.

The "hope" that you mention came in the form of Amari Cooper, and will continue to follow if we can get this Oline fixed in the offseason.
Josh Adams is averaging 4.9 yds/carry.

“Nonexistent” run game? Not quite.

I always thought Dak was the better QB. Wentz's numbers are better because he's in a better system. Wentz would struggle MIGHTLY in this offense.

Dak Prescott decides he wants to quit football and sail around the world. You are given a choice of QBs to lead Dallas:

Nick Foles
Carson Wentz

Who you choosing?
For the playoffs,Foles. He's proven he can be successful.

I post this once a week but these kind of slumps are very common with young QBs. Drew Brees went 2-9 with a 67 QB rating in his third season, the second where he started.

Adams has actually been a bright spot. He has had a good game or two I think. Non existent for most of the season sound better?

Sadly, you are not given a choice. You pretty much have to develop the QB you have to the best of your abilities until the next guy comes along. Best QB plays. That's the way it goes.

I would take Wentz over both Foles and Prescott.
Yeah, there ya go. Make this easy. Who ya got? Dak or Wentz?

I prefer Wentz.

No. He’s been productive all year when he’s gotten opportunities, as his yds/carry average indicates.

Philly averages 4.2 yds/carry as a team, middle of the pack. New England averages 4.1. Chicago averages 4.1. New Orleans averages 4.2.

These excuses for Wentz are cute.

I think its different though! They both have oline problems but Wentz doesnt have a premier running game to fall back on and the defense of the Eagles has lost their whole secondary!

That's why I have hope for Dak. He's young. The hope (and expectation) is that he will improve with playing experience...he was a 4th round selection and is only in his 3rd year. Most players look back at their early playing careers and laugh at what they were in those early days. Since Dak is highly likely to be this team's starting QB for the foreseeable future, these are my choices, IMO:

1. Root for him to be at least good enough to drive the bus to a championship
2. Bash him and be miserable until someone better comes along, or...
3. Go root for another team

I've been a fan for a lot of years, and ain't quitting anytime soon. I'm rooting for Dak to improve with experience. The only logical choice, really.
I root and cheer young Dak on but I view him as a handicap! I have no problem bashing him and this coaching staff or anyone else I feel needs to be replaced!

Wrong. He struggled in the beginning of the year. Lost their first 3 or 4 games as I remember? However the team around him has gotten better, not worse since his rookie year. Oline, running game, defense have all improved.

Wentz is a great young QB.
Nah his o line is bottom 10. Only reason they fear the run game is because they fear watson’s arm.

Without him the Texans don’t even win their division.

Wentz is coming off a pretty severe injury. Dak really hasn't been injured so far. I have no idea if that is meaningful or not?

Lmao.

He's completing 69.6% of passes at 7.7 y/a. Both numbers are better than last year, and he had no offseason.
Lol...I was waiting on someone to say this. When Dak's completion % is talked about...it only receives negative responses.

Wentz has a great line, good group of wrs, top 3 te.
Dak missing 3 starters on the online, missing their average te, and has had Linehan and Garret
