Cooper Rush should have played the 4th quarter

should Wentz have been benched for Foles in the second half?
I think Wentz was rushed back too soon honestly. I think to be fair to him, that's why he isn't himself. Secondly, I have always viewed him as a overrated guy.Dak is simply better and head to head, that bears out true. Kudos to this F.O. for drafting prudently well and getting Cooper.Boy was I wrong on the Coop deal.

Prescott is so bad that when he threw the pick down at the goal line I was just encouraged it was a pretty accurate throw.

The pick at the goal line was a good throw that a DB happened to make a great play on. The other pick was a terrible throw though, and there were a number of off target throws that were frustrating. This was a game where the big yardage stats make it appear he played better than he did.

I'll take that performance with a few mistakes turning the ball over than I would one of his patented conservative 180 yard checkdown games.

They ran 99 plays. That had a lot to do with so many passing yards but it also was about the QB looking down field more this game than probably any game this year.
Big Ben throws ints almost each game, but always gets a pass because he wins in crunchtime. Dak doesn't get that luxury just yet....key word...YET.

I actually wasn't nearly as down on his performance as many others were. He's very flawed but he battled and he tried to push the ball down the field all game.

And, if we're being fair, he is clutch. He does elevate his play late in games.

He will never be a great or even good starting QB but I thought this was about the best version of him that we can hope for.

Honestly that is kind of my feeling too. He does have the clutch gene...and in many cases he has to be clutch because of his own mistakes.

He did not see the man underneath playing in zone, DB was on TE who ran an out but then came off the TE and dropped back to make the play. Hated Dak did not see it but have seen even top QB make that mistake.

Oh wow.

Those are the nicest compliments I've ever seen Risen give to Dak.

Must mean that Dak is growing on him, and he is starting to become a fan. :muttley:

For three quarters, my section at the stadium was just shaking our heads in disgust and frustration.

Amari Cooper was wide open the entire football game. I mean WIDE OPEN all damn game long. He could have had 500 yards receiving by the end of the 3rd quarter. Even he was visibly frustrated at the lack of throws his way. The Philadelphia secondary is just putrid. They couldn't cover me.

Cooper Rush should have played the 4th quarter because this game should have been 35-3 by then. Dallas had all the possession, and the defense had the Philly offense tied in knots. Wentz looked bad, they couldn't run, first downs were incredibly hard to come by, and their defensive backfield was a makeshift band of gypsies.

It took a 62-yard field goal after a horribly mismanaged late drive in the half to be up a lousy 6-0. You have to try really, really hard not to be up three touchdowns in that game by halftime.

Dak throws a bad interception, followed by a an even worse interception, followed by a brainless fumble, followed by missed opportunity after missed opportunity....and suddenly, this thing is 9-9 only by the luck of a missed extra point.

"How is this possible?" we all stared at each other. "We should be in our cars headed home already."

Then, Dak drops a beautifully thrown ball to Cooper in the end zone, and it's back on track for the moment. However, he misses Gallup on two easy touchdowns running past the Eagles' jokesters for corners. He misses on a throw to Cooper, who fortunately adjusted on the ball for a 75-yard score as whoever "Bausby" is runs out of bounds. LOL, good corner you've got there, Philly!

Finally, after a nice drive in overtime, ping, pong, the game is over. Lucky touchdown, but the proper end to a nutty game. The Cowboys now have the awful NFC East pretty much on lockdown.

This game summed up Dak perfectly. Horrific interceptions, missed opportunities, bad fumbles, a few tremendous catches by receivers, and a few really well-thrown balls against a practice-squad combination of off-the-street defensive backs in a wild and woolly game. That's who we is.

My lone thought after that crazy game.....this is a Super Bowl roster that will have to drag this guy as far as they can take him.

Can a bus driver take a Ferrari to a Super Bowl this season? We'll see.

I can only guess guys like you never watch other teams. Just yesterday alone I saw Brees, Brady, and Ben miss wide open guys on deep passes. No, I'm not saying Dak is those guys so let's skip the typical knee-jerk response. But it seems Dak is the only one who is never allowed to miss a guy.

All he did yesterday was complete 77% of his passes and put his team up by 7 points twice in the 4th quarter, only to see the defense give it back both times. Then he took the team down the field to win the game in overtime so the defense never had to come back on the field.

There have been days to rip Dak. But if you think yesterday was one of them then nothing he ever does will be good enough for you.

Oh yeah, the great Cooper rush should have played. This is such a stupid thread. Either Dak sinks or swims but Cooper rush is not even remotely the answer..... fact is we won last night with Dak at QB. Enough said right there.

Not really. There was no one over the top..if he puts it in the right place Douglas has no chance. He floated it after throwing awkwardly...when he could have set his feet and put it on the spot.

True, people put Dak under the microscope. I don't think anyone here would dispute he made some mistakes in this game but he also made a lot of big plays in this game to help his team win. This site gets so agenda driven it is pathetic at times.

I think that's why the stadium was so loud in that 4th quarter. Everyone was fed up with Dak and feeling hostile so every time the defense got out there to try to save Dak again, the crowd was letting out their anger

exaggerate much? Cooper didn't seem frustrated in the post game interview. 500 yards by a receiver? LOL It just isn't good enough to win, have to win by more or somehow it seems hollow. I'm not sold on Dak but Cooper Rush? The first int, was a really good D play with the back coming off his man. 2nd int, fumble, 1st overthrow to Gallup all on Dak. But the kid did set a franchise record for completions in the game, 455 yards , 3 TD's. There is stuff to clean up for sure, but some in here are already hanging the first playoff loss on Dak. Me ....I'm going to wait and see.

why don't the guys and gals on here mention the clutch throws/reads Dak makes each game...like last night on a 4th and 9...he hit Cooper for a 12 yarder?...No one mentions that. Derek Carr would have pissed himself and had "shrinkage" issues, missing Cooper on that play. Sick and tired of all the love a guy like Carr gets...even to this day , when Dak is clearly way better!!! Carr had Cooper and the numbers just weren't there. Gruden is finding this out the hard way. Dak deserves love for improving vastly...The kid is just 24-25...jeesh guys. Kid is a leader of massive proportions and we are witnessing it over the last 5 weeks. He is a gym rat.
