HE was our primary returner when eh was out there and I don't recall him fumbling once. Did he?

No he didn't. Granted it was just 10 attempts before he was injured.

But for a "bust" who "can't beat anybody", he was having a career year receiving, averaging 18.6 yards per catch with 2 touchdowns before he was injured in week 6.

But never let pesky facts and truth get in the way of a good rant, eh?

Austin has always been a tease. He will have games where you think, "Finally". and then he disappears for whatever reason in this case injury. I would also pump the brakes on Austin's return, hard to think that a guy that may need surgery on his groin, will be anything like his former self or is one cut from aggravating the injury.

Yeah I mean what it come down to is he was never meant to be our #1. At least I hope not. Would've been nice but I never expected that. To me he was our new Dunbar/Lucky Whitehead. And you know what? No matter how much of a "bust" people say he is.....he was superior in talent to those guys.

Doesn't matter. As of right now we have Jourdan Lewis out there taking over his role. So yes. His return will be appreciated.

My expectations aren't that high. He's a gadget player, and that's exactly what he was for this team. But averaging 18.6 yds per catch isn't a bad trick. He's far from worthless, like some people have claimed. But if he's not healthy, he wouldn't be out there taking up a roster spot. Few teams more cautious than this one when it comes to returns from injury.

Exactly right. He's better than both of those guys on his worst day. I'm curious to see what a speed threat like Austin might mean on the same field with Gallup and Cooper. Not "starting" as some critics apparently want to claim, but as a gadget player getting 10-12 snaps for the game.

I think a good way to look at Austin, is that he should be part of about 5 plays. It might be where he touches it 2 times and for 3 plays he is used as a diversion. With the threats everywhere else, maybe he can get a 40 yarder in there.

With the run game, there is just not enough balls to go around. If they start getting the TE's more involved it will be even less.

I am too. Cooper's acquisition has improved everyones game in this offense...am I To believe it won't be the same for Austin on the field with him and Gallup? No one can convince me he's not a improvement over Lewis out there right now. Not saying a game changer but he's a welcomed addition.

Austin doesn't move the needle, more of a decoy. Lee will help in the right situations. Irving may never take a snap for DAL again, but would be a sight to see on this defense.

Like others, I feel this team has gotten along well w/o any of these, so I don't really value these coming all that much.

Austin adds nothing.
If they would use him correctly instead of just a gadget player and get him involved in the screen game or out in space on a regular basis he just might add something to this offense. Players can only run plays that call their name little else. Not Tavon's fault.

The Rams did and gave up on him.

A positive to be sure, people can argue how much he'll bring after that.
