It's sad, we really have a Superbowl team, 1 position holds us back

I agree but what is left out is if Dallas wins it all it will be because the Dallas Cowboys the team won it, not 1 person. Maybe it is just me but during the 90's I never felt it was all on Aikman, in my eyes it was on the Cowboys (Team) offense, defense and special team who had to play quality football to win it all. Football in my view is the ultimate team sport not a 1 man show

Absolutely it's a team sport.

And our average starting QB taking up less than a million of cap space would be a huge factor if we were to win it all. Dak right now is a huge asset.

The Te position is what's holding us back. Sure it would be awesome if we had a QB who was Aaron Rodgers but it's this Everydown Te lead scheme with no talent at the position that's holding us back. 1 TD all year between 4 players and still not Rotating for better slot wrs or rbs

Last season was yet another example, I don't know many who thinks Nick Foles is some elite QB. He took over in reg season he was hitting 56% 1 game over 200 yards . Eagles won the SB and Foles was part of it but there were a lot of other parts that lead to their success

I think there are a select few members on here that plan these sorts of threads just to keep everyone on their toes. Kudos to you all, it’s definitely working....

I thought Schultz and Jarwin did very well in the Eagles game. When they were used. That's more on the play calling than the position.

The TE's catch the passes and make plays when part of the game plan. This past game was the ultimate example. They may not be top tier, but they aren't the dogs some seem to think. The Cowboys just need to use them.

Another Dak bash thread.

"Stafford or Carr would get the job done" Like how many assumed that Cousins would get the job done with the Vikings, in the "they're just a QB away from being Superbowl contenders" mentality.
They should have kept their original qb. New qb, new system, tough to compete in the first year. Maybe next year.....maybe.

I agree somewhat but there is a te on every passing play and they aren't moving the chains or scoring points which seems to be acceptable for the coach and fan base. We havent had a decent te in 4-5 years but they continue to play them every down anyways

I agree. I don't look for Dak to carry us, I look for Dak and the rest of the team to go out and do their jobs and if they do they give themselves a great chance of winning.
Romo was Danny White.
Dak just might be Aikman. Haha

If you can't find a way to score you're a dog. Sorry. How could you say they aren't involved when they are all running routes on 3rd down but not getting open? Theres no stats that warrant any success. How many fantasy football points have they generated all year playing every snap. All of our other skilled players are producing except our tes. But somehow they get a free pass to play every passing snap anyways. There's not anything good on paper w these tes. They make a rinky dink pass once every game or 2 and get 1 TD a year. 1 TD a year for a whole te core is garbage. Heck #82's stats for 4 years are garbage. The sorry offensive scheme is because they leave them out there on passing plays. We'd have a great offense if all of our tes got hurt. You can't tell me if Austin was in the slot versus the te on passing plays that this offense wouldn't be 5x better. Every other skilled player has more talent on this team then any of our tes combined but we don't ever Substitute
