Current list of all QB salaries and Dak *The $25 Million Worth Merge*

Sure, Blake Bortles has a ton of interceptions and almost INTs. The pendulum swings both ways. It's not about adding them as taking them into account to get a true picture. Last season he more than doubled his turnovers. He's been losing quite a few fumbles this year. You can't have an honest discussion about Dak on the forums. He's not top 10 but he's somewhere in the middle. He had a big game.

This isnt about where Dak stands, it was simply a stat highlighting how he isnt prone to turnovers.

That stat shows he's one of the best in the league at not turning the ball over since he entered the league.

Saying "but his almost intercpetions" I promise he's not the only guy that's thrown interceptable balls that didnt end in a turnover

But you can’t have an honest discussion unless we know how many almost interceptions every QB has.
There's a list somewhere. Everything is tracked nowadays. saw a tweet referencing it like Bortles had 59 interceptable passes last year not including the ones that got picked. That he's had a high number this year. I will gladly dig it up once I get some shut eye.

Matt Ryan makes questionable throws.

Absolutely. Point is I think he's closer to last year than he is 2016. That the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Turn overs are a big problem but dont you think Dak will grow into a top ten?

$23M gets him in top 10; $28M gets him in top 5....JJ likes headlines (ugh)

"Cowboys extend Prescott, top 5 salary...." that would lead sportscenter and get ol' senile JJ in front of a camera

im saying between 21-25 AAV, but watch his first yr in 2020 is going to be the yr he gets the most out of any yr. Dallas has an obscene amount of money in that yr. With salaries bout to go up again this yr. I wouldnt be suprised to see the cap at 200mil in 2020

Dak is on pace to have more production than his rookie yr. Imagine is Cooper would've been a Cowboy from the start of the yr, and then imagine if Dallas would've been able to pull off the trade for Brate. Jerry is surrounding him with talent. Thats what The rams and Eagles and cheifs did for Goff Wentz and Mahomes.

He’s ranked 22 in qbr so why pay him like he’s a top 5, or 10 or even 15? http://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr

His paltry numbers don’t support the case for big money.
But he was setop for failure with no receivers this year. What's he ranked since getting cooper?

Yes he misses throws, but so does every QB. His seem to be magnified more by fans and the media.

Everyone complains about garret/ linehan and how ancient their system is. Well Dak is second in wins since coming into the league.

Exactly right on all points.

Dak can't win. Even if he wins a SB, some fans will say, 'Should've been a blowout.', or ''Without that defensive play, we lose.', or whatever.

Dak actually has a great deep ball QBR for the center and left third of the field. Not so great on the right third.

He just wins. Works for me.

Guess many don't remember Stephen and Jerry saying they've ALREADY planned the budget for Dak's next contract. As Stephen put it, Dak will get what he deserves. What's interesting is Jerry and Stephen are not hiding their excitement about getting his deal done. Hell, I've even read where a couple national media guys have suggested they shut up or pump the brakes a bit.

Bottom line .......Dak is going to be the face of this team for a long time or without his critics.

Not really....my prediction is we sign him to some ridiculous contract, he continues to be highly inconsistent Dak, and we have to cut him

I dont know why you Dak fans dont want to bring a better QB in here...wouldnt be hard

Better - your prediction is he'll continue to succeed and you will continue to discount his successes

I dont know what you mean continue...

We are the 25th ranked passing offense...he had one good quarter....

If he somehow turned into a great quarterback I would be ecstatic....I want the Cowboys to win a Superbowl

Dak is 30-15 as a starter.

Of course, you'll come up with a laundry list of reasons why he's got such a solid record that discounts that.

This offense is deeply inspired by our super bowl winning teams. Great RB and an efficient QB

He also was 3rd and 4th in QBR his first two seasons.

That's the problem with your logic. You think we can bring ANY QB even ones that have never started in and nothing will be lost. You're wrong about that. If you're going to replace Dak it's got to be with a better Quarterback than Dak, and there isn't one just sitting there as a free agent. Cousins was called one of the best free agent Quarterbacks ever not because he's great but because he was available, and he's really just an average QB. You don't seem to grasp the importance of Quarterback play, and how few above average to great Quarterbacks there are.

We're on a 5 game winning streak and all this board can talk about is how much they hate Dak and don't want to see him get paid. It's illogical.

Y'all need to quit worrying about another man's money.

Nope....I hope he turns out to be a perennial pro bowler and prove me wrong

But we wont....he just not a very good QB....he tries hard though

He's already been to one in three years

Does he have a better chance of acheiving that goal than McCarron, Beathard, or McCoy?
