If you think Dak is the guy then you'd probably accept anyone

Lol

You’d rather have Dak than Goff.
Did I stutter... Did you see Goff with Fisher I bet you didn't... It looks like what you have been seeing the last 4 games... O mybad you only watch Cowboys games, silly you

Whatever Dak can be, we are not going to find out w/ this OC. Maybe he doesn't possess much more upside, but I guarantee we need an OC that will maximize what he does possess, and we do not have it at present.
That’s assuming there’s one out there Jerry will find:)

You see how you always avoid my questions... That's what I thought... So QBs can miss like usual and be safe but Dak misses and all hell breaks loose... Checkmate

Yes, most QBs miss throws here and there..

But most QBs aren't ranked in the bottom third in most passing categories either.

Why can't you guys understand this?!

And you have faith Jerry is going to bring that in here?

This OC had a top 10 offense with our prior QB?
On accident, yes, it's possible. Just like Marinate and Richard.

On accident. He still resisted what made us good, running the ball, and still went strangely pass happy at the oddest times. And we still had red zone woes.

Numbers don't interest me in this situation, what interests me is watching our OC continuously call plays that do not maximize what we have. And the interest is in getting a better one.

You have no idea who you’re talking to.

Of course since your frustrated with the discussion you resort to personal attracts. How mature.

And Rod looks much better with more talent . Much like Scott did.

This discussion is ultimately mute because Jerry is All In on Dak. And our coaching staff on the most part.

We can bring in another OC but it’s still Garrett’s offense . The same offense which was top 10 most years under our previous era.

If our schemes and play calling is limited because of the passing ability of our QB then this is probably about as good as it gets.

Continue trying to surround him with another Top 5 OL , all the elite key positions we can and try to keep a top 5 defense out there.

Because we like Dak since he won our hearts from his Rookie season becoming attached to make it work because it’s hard finding a QB.

Our dysfunctional organization is talent dependent. The more talent we have at key positions the more success we’ll have.

Garrett's offense needs 11 pro-bowlers to make it work .

Then again, the techmo bowl plays would also be pretty good with that roster .

His stats are down there due to being one of the most run first and slow pace offenses in the league. Why cant you guys understand this?

Posted this elsewhere, but it fits here as well.

The problem with half the fan base is that they think the Cowboys can or will go to QBs R Us and pick another QB to be the next franchise guy. So who are you going to plug in in Dak's stead?

Newsflash: Real, genuine franchise QBs don't come around often, and we as Cowboys fans have been very blessed over the decades.

As an undrafted free agent, Romo was literally an example of catching lightning in a bottle — it will likely never happen for this team again. So, A.) get over the thought that some UDFA will come in and be an All-Pro. I'm not a math guy, but the odds have to be astronomical.

B.) We don't have a first round pick, and we're likely picking late-ish in the second round, and again, the odds of finding QB1 there is long. More importantly, THE COWBOYS WON'T DRAFT A QB in second round of the 2019 NFL draft. It's just not going to happen. We're one game away from being in the playoffs with the QB so many hate, but if you think like Jerry/Garrett, they'll think that giving Dak more weapons will only help. More than likely, look for a TE there or possible OL.

C.) Later rounds? Again if you're thinking like Jerry/Garrett, it's highly unlikely given that they're already invested with two other young QBs (including late round pick, White, last year) behind Dak.

Hopefully (please, please, please) the F.O. will jettison Linehan, and hire the best OC available at any cost, who hopefully will bring in a QB coach who is amazing at developing QBs. We desperately need an offensive team who can help Dak get rid of all his warts.

I have stated a million times that I have a major love/hate thing happening with Dak, but I think for 2019, Dak is the guy. Just accept it.

Now, if he doesn't continue to improve, or, gulp, gets ever worse, then I think all bets are off for 2020.
Well stated

I'd imagine you were a fan and rooted for every single QB from Aikman to Romo and all of them in between, no doubt.

Is this the kind of offense you wish upon our team? Dink and dunk and if the secondary allows for it take a shot deep down the sideline?
Dak is who we thought he was! The warts we saw before are still there. He needs a very good defense and outstanding OL and RB to be successful. He did not have those two and when he had to win the game he it was to much to ask for. If we get into the playoffs Dak will be the same there too. No Super Bowl this year!!

PS
Both the Commanders and Eagles won today!

Not according to Jerry. Jerry put JG over the D back in 14.

No, because at times you can see Dak being given the correct plays. And then suddenly everyone runs to the defender and stops. We go to these long developing routes and often at strange times.

I'm one of the few who never thought Dak was all that. Yes, even in his rook season. However, there's still some developing that can be done, but to maximize, we must get a playcaller who understands what Dak needs and gives it to him. What we're calling is all too often not it.
