He's no gunslinger, like Romo was. But as much as I loved Romo, I'll take a busdriver for the things he does, like be sure of his read before he throws, than someone who has a gunslinger mentality.

Dak is more like a drunk Uber driver.

Tired of all of this Dak haters vs Dak lovers. Dak has regressed since his rookie year. Right now he's a bus driver and his offense sucks. One real good drive the whole game. The second TD was a gimme from the defense although I should give them credit for scoring a TD because the drive before that they couldn't from the 2.

That comment right there just shows how you have absolutely NO idea about the game of football.

The difference here is that I don't think he rockets up into the great QB grouping with a new OC or healthier OL. I mean he's making mistakes that have zero to do with the OL.

I don't care what you give him, he's always going to be that middle of the road QB.

And we can win with that but my God he’s out there doing it with his left nut tied to his leg...

He's an average QB. Not terrible, not great. Just right in that middle range where if you were ranking QBs, he'd be in the 12-18 range, IMO.

With a bad Oline, bad coaching, and marginal receiver he is definitely an average QB.

How red in the face are you right now? Cheer up. Under Dak, the Cowboys have not had a losing season...and in the same division as GOD WENTZ has won the Division...2/3...and maintains one of the leagues best QB ratings...

Now go cry yourself to sleep.
as a qb he still sucks

Let me put it this way

A QB that is middle tier to the lower end of middle tier, you can win a Super Bowl IF you have a great defense and competent offense.

Do you really think Jerry Jones can put together a team like this for Dak?

With a great QB, while they will need help, can hide a lot of flaws on offense and defense and win it all.

I would rather search out a great QB than wait for Jerry Jones to finally become that great GM he has always wanted to be. The former is more likely than the latter

Being a bus driver only works when you have a good team around you. Could Dak have bus driven all the teams Romo had? Probably not because Romo never had a good defense. Our defense and running is winning us games, not Dak. As much as I want him to succeed for the sake of us not having to find another QB, him and Linehan are the weak links of this team.
Guess youre forgetting 2007 when Dallas had the 3rd ranked defense. top 10 in takeovers. And top 5 in sacks.

I don't believe we can win with him. And by win I mean make a deep playoff run and win a SB.

He's simply not good enough IMO. The margins of error for having a bus driver type win a SB are really slim. I'd prefer to look for a better QB and increase our odds.

I suspect the excuses will last forever when it comes to him from some of you.

On the first drive of the 2nd half, the 3rd down play, Troy shows plainly that Dak doesn't anticipate his receivers coming open. If he had he would have hit the TE down the middle for a huge gain. I would bet that wasn't the only one he missed seeing come open. He needs better coaching, no doubt, but I am not sure he's the long term answer at QB.

Or Zeke could have not fumbled on second down calling 3rd and medium...or Zeke could have caught the ball on that same 3rd down...This was of course after Dak on first down got it to second and relatively short. You need to look at Zeke on that series of failure.

Funny how the next drive when the took the ball out of Zeke's hands and put it in Dak's the offense began to move the ball...

Yeah, somewhere in there. After about the first 8 or 10 QB's, you simply make do w/ what you got, and work w/ the weaknesses and strengths of that player.

Is that a bad place to be for a 4th round, 3rd year player?

Is that good enough to win, if the team around him is good?

Most importantly, is it possible he gets better in time, or over the next couple of years?
