I promise you, most of us want him to be good. We know how hard it is to find a good QB, and if Dak became one, it would be one major issue we could stop worrying about.
You could tell Troy wanted to come right out and say that Dak isn't a very good QB, as he pointed out the easy targets and throws Dak was missing....but I guess Troy must be a "hater".
Troy don't know crap.. his rings are old

This team is 12-3 with an NFL-caliber quarterback.
Teams are practically begging us to throw deep.
But we really can't take advantage of the coverage because they KNOW Dak is inaccurate and uncomfortable throwing middle range and deep on a consistent basis.
What's sad is we have a team that can compete for the Super Bowl.
We've beaten the Saints, and we have their blueprint.
The Rams may have peaked.
The Bears are in a similar position as we are with Trubisky at qb.
The Vikings have Distant Cousin as quarterback.
And we have drink and dunk Dak.
Please spare the board your misery and go root for the Viqueen and leave us Cowboys fans to root for our team.

Dak really does seem like a winner but this whole 2nd half heroics thing is getting old. Don't look embarassing the first half and the "clutch QB" conversation never happens.

For the way this team wins games (defense and rushing), Dak is I think good enough. He tries to prioritize ball safety and almost never throws interceptions, he just needs to stop fumbling.

He's really not your all star QB, that's not him and that's not how Dallas wins and I'm cool with it. I think Dak has room to grow but I just don't see an amazing QB out there right now.

At least he does seem to have a knack for wins, he's doing just enough to let the strengths of the team carry him. I mean, Romo is about my favorite Cowboy ever but Dak is already catching up to him on playoff experience.

This is correct .

He has room to grow .

Romo was a beast in year 8 ..he had lots of doubters and haters his first 3 years .

Quarterback takes time, several years, to develop.

And it's difficult .

That's right.

But I would like to make a distinction. Dak is like a Greyhound bus driver.

Quincy was like a school bus driver.

He's a better player than Dilfer. And other bus drivers. But he's still a bus driver.

I like him that way though .
I was thinking Dak is more like shortbus on square wheels.

Dilfer drove a bus to a super bowl title. So, Dak has a ways to go before he's considered on par with Dilfer. Just FYI to give you some perspective, nobody outside of a small segment of cowboy fans thinks Dak is any good. He strikes fear in no other team.

Dak needs to see the lanes and start taking off and or stepping up in the pocket. Once he does that he will actually become one of the elite QBs of the league., But the sacks he is taking now are unexecptable...

They aren't coaching on Dak on anything. That's why Dak has results of wild throws and holding onto the ball for too long.

Ohhhh Poor Dak not being coached....ohhhh....Jerry fire everyone, cut everyone....Dak pooo isn't being coached properly....hey man wake up....look in the below Mirror...it always tells the truth!!
Can't coach garbage...!!!!

My biggest concern is whether or not he can really grow as needed. He misses wide open guys on occasion and that just doesn't seem like a thing that fixes itself in the NFL, after years of high school and college ball. I've heard many experienced QBs (including Troy today during pregame) say that accuracy is also a difficult thing to improve and that's a known weakness of Dak as well.

You supported a choker for 10 full seasons, and I told you Romo would never lead the Cowboys to any championship playoff game.

Dak is going to do it. Just wait and see. Much sooner than you think.

If Dak "does it" it will be inspite of him and not because of him. This defense is what's doing it this year. If you can't see that, then you're blind.

Nope, Romo's entire career was one long prayer that he wouldn't gunsling his way to a 5 Interception game.

And yet at least he could score regularly without the defense gifting it to him. Dak has potential but he's wasting it. I'm not sure why, but until he stops, he'll be nothing but a bus driver.

Dak has his flaws, which can be and will be improved on, but Dak has "it". Even Darren Woodson said as much.
