How come we aren’t talking about Wentz anymore?

I feel like Wentz while a great QB somehow lacks the it factor.
Old fans might think of Morton and Staubach.
Craig Morton was great in 1970 sailing along hitting 70% of his passes, then came the injury bug. on the other hand Roger had the it factor while Craig was right out of central casting.

And when Foles starts laying duds again like he has always done his entire career, what will your excuse be then?

Foles doesn't get swept against us like Wince was, just sayin'. Foles career was nearly ruined by Jeff Fisher, the same coach who made Goff look bad. Yet, once Foles got back with Reid and once he has a decent head coach, he has shown the ability to make the offenses that he runs, dangerous enough to make a run in the playoffs, as he showed last season and as he is showing this season. If Foles started this season, I guarantee that Philly wouldn't have to need the Bears to beat the Vikings to make it into the playoffs. Because they would have locked up a playoff spot on their own with Foles.

Wince would not have beaten the Rams and Texans in back to back weeks. Wince wouldn't have come back from a hit that knocked the wind out of him, to drive his team down for a winning FG. Wince gets build up as an MVP and Foles comes in and looks better in back to back seasons. Funny, that some constantly talk about how Dak needs a certain supporting cast to "carry" him. Yet, Foles is the one to come in and do just as good or even better with the supporting cast that Wince has.

What’s great is the point of this thread wasn’t even to hype up Nick Foles.

It was to show that even a guy like Nick Foles can WIN with the same supporting cast that Carson Wentz has.

So if you think Foles sucks, guess what? That only strengthens the argument that Wentz is a loser.

They tried to blame the supporting cast. They tried to say, “But look at Wentz’s stats! It’s not his fault!”

Then Foles took a dump all over that nonsense.

You’re 100% right that based on his career so far, there’s no way that anyone can say with confidence that Wentz would’ve come away with that win vs Houston yesterday.

I guess because we are worried about the issues we have at quarterback? How does Wentz getting hurt and Foles starting fix our issues.
Oh makes us feel better.

100% wouldn't have won that SB last year either. Absolutely zero chance.

We’re division champs in part because Carson Wentz is a fraud and a loser.

Yes, it’s pretty awesome when your division rivals suck. Ask New England.

no because the nfc east is beat up with bad teams. Washington no offensive line, no qb but was still in it. The eagles with issues and the giants with no offensive line either. We won a bad division in week 16.
I'm more worried with the lack of offense than the quarterbacks on other teams.

Philly has 30+ points in 2 straight games with Foles. Against the Rams and Texans.

They hit that mark ONCE in their first 13 games, and that was against the lowly Giants.

Here’s Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins after yesterday’s game:

“He’s a Super Bowl MVP for a reason. Obviously, he's pumped life back into this team, the offense, playing phenomenal right when we need it. But that's Nick. He's no different. It's not like he rose to the occasion. This is what he's made for."

Sounds like a guy who CAN’T WAIT for Wentz’s return!!!

Oh, and Jenkins is a team captain.

Coming off a very serious injury and now injured again with a broken vertebrae.....Before he injured his knee, he was arguably the leading MVP candidate, He's not going anywhere for a long time, we'll be cursing him and the eagles for years to come...
Y’all overdo it about Wentz. And when he gets paid we’ll see if he has that defense to back him still

“The eagles with issues”

Hahahahahhahaaha

Care to elaborate?

Hmmm, looks like the QB switch solved those issues.

This isn’t a thread about our offense.

If you look very closely, you’ll find roughly a thousand threads about our offense on this board.
might as well laugh at the skins or giants too, that will make our offense look better.

first off Foles didnt play well the first few weeks of the season..he gets lucky that he comes in when the team is desperate and for some reason the Defense starts playing well and then the offense takes off.. I frankly dont see Foles in a full 16 game seaon doing much better with the Ebs and flows given injuries and games where players make mistakes around them et etc.. weve seen Foles bounce around and not play to well when its all on him..Foles is playing well but saying Wentz is bad because of it id say it knee jerk reaction.. I for one dont care to talk much about other players so thats why I dont bring it up..
The Eagles defense allowed 23 points vs the Rams and 30 points vs the Texans.

Nice try!

They won those 2 games because the Foles-led offense scored 30+ in both games.

Hmm.

There was a great point made about how some thought that Romo was disrespected in 2016, when the Cowboys decided to stick with Dak. But, at least no Cowboys player and no one in the Cowboys organization built a shrine for Dak. And now some Philly fans even want Wentz to be traded so that they can keep Foles. Tough to see the back up QB come in and be forever legendary because he led your team (Wince's team) to the Superbowl and won it. If Wince never lives up to what Foles did, he will always be questioned as to whether the Eagles should have traded him away and kept Foles. Him pushing to come back and play, despite not being cleared medically, isn't just about him being having the common football player mentality of wishing to play. It has something to do with that competitive, prideful, QB part of him, not wanting to see the back up stealing his limelight and getting the glory and hero worship treatment for another season. Because he rather be the QB to lead his team to glory.

I cant believe how many people here are willing to ignore a guys whole career because he threw for 400 yards and 4 tds in one game lol. When nick foles goes back to mediocre ill make sure none of you forget it.
