Can Dak lead us to the Super Bowl this year?

Um, Dak is the ONLY aspect of this team that I feel that prevents us from making a real run for the SB. He is the final piece that needs to be replaced. So no!

And looking ahead to next year, it does seem there might actually be a few QB's that have franchise potential hitting the market. I strongly suggest we hold off signing Dak and try and grab one. Foles will be one of them.

not if the #6 seed beats the #3 seed...lower seed remaining plays NO...we could play @ #2 which could be the rams or the bears (still up in the air)

I think for that to happen, Bears need to win and Rams need to lose.
If Bears win meaning the vikings loose. And if the Eagles win, then the Eagles are in as a WC.

Then we may be playing at Chicago instead of at NO. Which is really better? Dome or 0º weather?

Difference is, guys like Dilfer, Johnson, Flacco had elite defenses. We are not at that elite level yet.

Dak also has to limit the ill advised fumbles, interceptions. Also when we have a chance to get points, we have to capitalize and not settle for field goals or sacks that take us out of FG range.

correct, although I don't see the rams losing to the 49ers so it won't matter what the bears do if the rams win...then yes, the eagles would be the #6 (assuming they beat the Commanders) and would play at Chicago in round 1 and if philly wins THAT one, they go to NO and we go to LA

My gut says NO. BUT... the minimal hope I have is that Dak looks like a different QB when the playoff lights come on. If he's truly "clutch," it's possible. He will have to take mighty strides this off season for him to be the reason we progress. I'm always hopeful. It's my nature. But I'm not betting on it.

If all that happens I feel good about a matchup with the rams. I think we beat them in la

Those QB's mentioned above had better defenses than this current team. Dallas would need almost perfect play from everyone to run the gauntlet for three games to get there. Also, some of those QB's stepped it up for a post-season run.

I think Dak could get there but not under the current conditions from coaching to play design. The offense isn't near good enough and our defense isn't really a shutdown or scoring one either.

Can he ? Yeah good dak could.
Matchups matter in the playoffs though and we have some bad matchups looming starting with Seattle.
Even at home this will be a big hurdle.
I’d spy Russell Wilson with jaylon.
Lockett and Baldwin always make these crazy circus deepball catches and frank Clark and bobby the wagon man give us fits on defense.
If we survive the birds, we get the saints in the dome. I actually think we have a shot against them. Our pass rush is Drew Brees cyrptonite.
I’ll be keeping a close eye on the Bears.
Their potential matchups are favorable. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them in nfc championship game
Last couple times we played Seattle seemed like the defense kept Russell in check and in pocket but he still will make his plays

If Rich Gannon can take Duh Raiduhs to the Super Bowl, we most definitely can get there with Dak.

Those Raiders only had to win 2 home playoff games to get there. Cowboys have a bigger challenge.

I don't hate Dak, I love the guy. I think he's a total class act against most of today's NFL players. I've been watching the NFL and this team for 44 years. I know talent when I see it. Dak is just lacking. He's not gonna carry this team, ever.
How can you love someone you don't know as a person? You sound easily impressed or maybe some of you older people do things differently. I don't care about Dak or any player off the field as long as they aren't harming folks or anything bad like that. Same way I look at every other person in life I don't know. No celebrity extra hype up for me. I'm all about on field play flip all of this he's a good guy bs like he about to join your family or something.

Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Joe Flacco would all say yes.

Joe Flacco in his prime I would say was better than Dak. Dilfer and Johnson IMO were much worse. But Dilfer and Johnson also had better defenses IMO. The Ravens remain one of the best defenses in modern history. Even that Bucs D was better than ours. It really didn't matter what QBs they had.

Dallas won the last 6 out of 7 games and I hope that becomes 7 out of 8 with the destruction of the Giants. So I think overall we're a pretty damn good team. But if Dallas makes it to the SB it will not be because of Dak, it will be in spite of him. Anyone watching that Tampa game has to have mixed feelings. He threw some beautiful passes and made up for it with some stinkers. We pretty much scored 13 points on offense against one of the worst defenses in the league. Dak still holds on to the ball too long or he gets rid of it too early on a check down when a WR is breaking open over the middle.

100% absolutely NOT. Its actually no comparison in any way.

Seriously

Gannon was league MVP that year wasn't he?

OP is either blatantly trolling or grossly ignorant but to compare the offensive impact of Gannon with the Raiders in 2002 to Dak this year might be one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this forum, and that's really saying something

No chance. No QB that sucks as bad as Dak has ever made it. There have been a few non flashy bus driver types that have made it but Dak isn’t even to that level. It would take some extraordinary events for this team with Dak to make it.

Valid point

Johnson, Dilfer, etc might not have put up gaudy stats bit they could at least consistently put a ball on a guy who was 2 steps behind the coverage

No class act would have thanked Cliff Avril, even in jest

I mean, seriously, Staubach is a class act. Can you ever, in a million years, imagine Roger thanking someone for injuring Morton back when they we're competing for the job?

It would have never happened

Dak's about Dak. His shiny carefully tailored image is more myth than reality imo
