If Rich Gannon can take Duh Raiduhs to the Super Bowl, we most definitely can get there with Dak.

Rich Gannon comparison is off more like Flaco, Dilfer like others mentioned. Gannon was league MVP and could throw the ball around.

It would take way more than Dak to take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl.

That much is obvious. His supporting cast would have to be spectacular!
It's a fully healthy o-line away from top 5 talented team in the league status IMO. We've hit on a ton of picks lately. Some are top at their position All-Pros {Jones,Jaylon,LVE, Zeke, Cooper, Martin, Fredrick,Lawrence,Lee}. And others are improving(Gallup,Gregory,,Woods, others).

We are a very talented team.

Aside from Dak I feel good about Zekes ability to take over in the playoffs as well as this defense I expect Dak to Dak

Dumb post. Gannon played in a different era. Far different rules. He could make throws Dak could only dream about. Daks poor mechanics will continue to limit his potential.

Flacco got hot at the right time, but is not a franchise QB. He was benched despite being owed millions.

Could Dak figure how to read a defense, fix his mechanics and awareness issues and get hot all of a sudden? Sure, but it is not likely.

Dumb Post...what in the hell was yours?
You say it is dumb because of the different era's. You were the one comparing them them from DIFFERENT ERA's. then you call my post dumb?
I am showing you facts that you failed to provide in your stupid drive by posting.

You going to make statements like that, and bring up different era's, then you open it up to ALL the history. Football is still football dude,
Can't open it up then back track to cherry pick your narrative / agenda.

I honestly do not think that building chemistry excuse can be used anymore.
Dak has had more than just this season to prove that he can build chemistry, I kept using that excuse,, I kept saying that Dak just needs the natural progression that most young QBS in this league need, he just needs time to build that connection with his WRs.
Ive just never seen it happen, Dak needs to be unleashed. Dak needs to play his game.
Im convinced at this point that Dak will never be your Troy Aikman, he will never be a timing based passer.
Let Dak run free in this post season and this team has a chance to advance.
Its now time to let Dak be Dak.

I could see him improving with another head coach and another OC, although exactly how much is questionable. When Goff got his new coaching help at LA, his improvement was pretty impressive, to say the least. I wouldn't be surprised to add another WR and a TE next year.

Judging by that and some others who have received the proper support, perhaps he'd progress to a point where he'd do better, although I doubt his accuracy will ever be anything to brag about.

I'd say Dak remains what he is until better coaching, another OC, more WRs and a TE are added to his weaponry. Eventually, I could picture another QB coming into the picture and perhaps either replacing him or for one of them to serve as a backup.

Gannon played in a tougher era for the offense, in 2002, and still put up numbers that embarrassed Dak's 2018 output

That was clearly the guys point and it's undeniably true

Are you intentionally ignoring the obvious?

What facts? The idea you seem to be throwing out is that Gannon was a bus driver in 2002 and the Raiders carried him to the title game

What facts are you basing that on? Please, elaborate. Would love to see the "evidence". Also explain how Gannon won league MVP that year, becoming the first bus driver QB to do so ....

This should be fun. And, as an added bonus, enlightening!

Better offensive coaching should make quite a welcomed difference as well, imho. Jerry is likely to sign Dak to another contract but I'm hoping he and Stephen avoid getting carried away with the amount they commit themselves to. In another year or two, maybe another QB will come onto the scene. Then, it could be pretty interesting to see what might happen from that point on.

for the team to win in the playoffs the qb play is going to have to be lots better the penalities are going to have to get much lower and the offensive coaching is going to have to be much better you don't win in the playoffs without good qb play and coaching

I responded to his origin, post, go back and read all of the thread. Improve your comprehension.
Don't inject your opinions without knowing the facts.
hy are you wanting to get on me about it. I was right, so leave it alone. I don't have to prove anything to you. I already shown my proof to his comment.

Guess you are one of these that just don't get it, so need to be an annoyance. Guess you didn't get your Barbie Doll either.
I was comparing the stats as he said Gannon was better. But Flacco may not have been.
As I said, go back and read it all.
I don't have the patience for this type of crap you started. You are wasting my time.
