Yes. Tune in. I'm not inventing a story. The argument is that they didn't beat anyone. Their SOS was only 25. OSU's was 3rd.

OSU got destroyed by a mediocre Purdue squad. Are you saying that shouldn't matter?

Yeah, generally the 6th rated conference is the American, not the MWC.

They'd do the power 5 and 3 at large, like you said.
P5 winners, best Gof5 team, 1 at large.

Guarantee one Gof5 per year, ensure everyone has a seat at the table.

UGA was actually the better team most of the game. I think they let up when Hurts came in and were shell shocked at how much he has improved since the NC game last year. Hurts could do nothing against them last year, if you recall. ....... In any case, the last 2 games between Bama and UGA have been awesome.
Bama was less motivated in that SEC CG than UGA was last night.

Dealing with Jethro's in SEC country is painful.

UGA has zero offense in the LSU game, last night against UT and versus Bama when the game was on the line.
They were not a top 4 aquad as the 3 losses attest.

Oh, there's no doubt that ND wasn't that good. And therein lies my problem, Greg. Last year, they put ALA in when they didn't belong, citing the reason: "They were one of the 4 best teams in the country".

To me that's establishing parameters. However, this year, ND was not top 4, but they put them in anyway.

IMO, if you're going to use a set of reasoning, that reasoning should not change year to year.
I’d like to revisit this.

Tell me why you didn’t think Bama deserved to be in last year?

They were #1 all year. Didn’t lose until their final game. How far should they have dropped in polls?

And then proved in the playoffs why they deserved to be there?

Again, that’s not necessarily correct. I can recall many times when the New Years Days Bowls often decided the National Championship .

Not usually one game itself but pending the results of several of them,
Not really. Mostly, it was if the #1 team won. And I remember a time or two where the #1 team would play a much lower ranked team.

And then there was the year the stupidly rematched MIA and NEB, even though everyone knew MIA was far superior.

Very very seldom was it pending the results of several games.

And where do Georgia fans get all cocky from. Just 2 years ago they were a 7 win team. It’s been what over 35 years since they’ve won a National championship.

Beating Alabama one year in SEC conference game didn’t elevate them to elite status. Lol

Alabama has won 5 titles in last 10 years. Do Dawg fans think they belong in that group? Why???

Georgia is definitely not a team with 2 losses I’d of considered to get in.

Holy Larry, how often do I have to explain this?

You're still thinking we'll agree w/ the process of voting teams in. As long as you just keep repeating this stuff, you won't understand my viewpoint.

Which is fine. Doesn't matter.

That’s simply not totally true. The top ranked team was in the balance and if they didn’t win then all of their results mattered.

Is the 1980’s and 90’s all you recall ? I thought you were older than that.

I’ve already established the voting process is flawed because it’s based on the polls which have always been flawed.

I get it Kevin. You don’t approve of the entire Div 1 system. But my point is based on the current and previous polling system the NCAA has stayed pretty close to the vest on it.

I am 54 and only a casual college football fan. I would become a much bigger fan if there were a playoff system.

I do not agree. The only time other games matter is if the top ranked team lost. There were a few times other games mattered, but it was rare.

His name is Kevin. No wonder I don't like him.

Actually, you are correct, Greg, and I'm not sure I even realized until you just said it. I disapprove of the entire system. Good conclusion, dude!!!!
