Disappointed that this guarantees Garrett’s return? Unbelievably, I’ve already seen this written a few times since the game ended.
droopdog--- for me we must get an offensive coordinator and a new QB coach...i realize not executing can hamper any play that is called...but we have the offensive personnel to do a lot better than what we do on offense...our offense most of the time puts too much pressure on our defense in my opinion...boots waggles, RPO's..more of them mixed in needed in my opinion...plus Cooper is so so good...he is best route runner in the business in my opinion and even though tonight he got over 100yds receiving..as the commentators pointed out..we should have gone after the cb who was a little hurt covering cooper...but it seems Dak is not even aware of such things...Dak did good throwing TD pass to Gallup..but too often Dak is way off the mark on his throws....that and his mechanics and awareness...he nneds more help in my opinion than from the paper boy Moore....i think Garrett has done better since half way point in season...but he is always like this...schemes crummy games..we play lousy and lose ...and look inept...then he will coach enough wins to give him another chance...but i guess the players play for him hard so that is a big plus?

I still don't think he'll ever get us where we want to go, but there's no doubt that he had the team ready tonight.

Why can’t Dallas cover kickoffs? Special teams coach needs to clean it up next game (and rest of playoffs) or I am looking for a new one if I am JG.
Oh Canada--special teams coach must be fired....more often than not we have flags against us during punt returns...that kills it every time...but Maher did save a touch down which makes up for his 50+ FG miss..i like Maher...i think he can clean up the short misses

i know our offense has the personnel to do a lot better if coached and schemed better...our offense puts too much pressure on our defense..and then the defense starts cracking...look at most all of our games this year...hardly any points scored against us in first half and a lot more scored against us second half....we had too many close game wins this year in my opinion...i mean of course a win is a win every time...but it puts a lot of pressure on defense when we cant pull away more

How can any true fan be disappointed about a playoff win? JG has led the team to 8 of 9 wins and has most NFC wins over last 3 years. As Jerry said playoff wins are the only thing left to launch him into top status.

As for the previous playoff trips he’s been the coach the teams always been taken out by 1 in a million plays, Rodgers throw, Dez’s overturned Catch.

He’s getting the job done the 2nd half of the year. You can’t deny it
i agree..he has shown marked improvement...but i still dont like him..but that is probably my problem?

We have only 3 playoff wins since 96...... Garrett has two of them and with a different QB.

If you do the things that create wining football you keep your job. If you consistently lose you should lose your job.

If Garrett is winning games with better clock management and motivating the players why continue to push for him to leave? Or are we just pushing the narratives that ESPN wants us to think?
The fact the players don't give up on Garrett is enough for me to be ok keeping him. Linehan has to go though, we need a different offense that is creative.

I’ve been a harsh critic of Garrett at times, but my desire is still for the front office to retain him for the right reasons (ie playoff wins).

I'm glad we won. Two more and we get to the big dance. I don't care how we win as long as we win.

i just hope we dont continue since 1997..if we do win a playoff game its only the wild card...i know the Saints next week at their place will be a most formidable foe...and you can bet they want revenge big time....so maybe we have dogged Garrett for so long it does not matter that he helped turn aound a 3-5 start...or help win a wild card?...it might take at least getting to NFC Championship game?....but i will say if we somehow can beat the Saints next week
the Garrett haters will start to hide ..in my limited understanding of things in this life

Their hate runs so deep they can’t even enjoy a win without ripping Dak for his negative plays and ignoring the clutch plays he made to help win the game.

It’s sad really.
I've been critical of Dak but I'm happy that they won. I think Dak is coming around. There were some bad throws early in the game but he made some really good throws and played well over all. I'm proud of him for not taking unnecessary sacks this game.

It’s fair to be critical of Dak. I am too when he deserves it.

I agree with you. I thought it was promising that Dak threw the ball away a few times.

It’s just very telling when some posters can’t even enjoy a playoff win without ripping Dak left and right, when he had a pretty good game overall and scored the game winning TD.

At the end of the day we route for this team to make the playoffs and give the b team a chance to win a SB... so as long as we are in that position, i am willing to support him for another year.... but if the time comes that he isn't making the playoffs and still has the same coaching issues, i will have the pitchfork out.

That first long pass intended for Gallup that sailed out of bounds irked me a bit but he tightened things up pretty well. He got the job done and I'm happy.

The real problem is those posters harp on every bad play (even though every QB has em) but never gives him credit for the good plays (they are the result of someone else, a mistake by the defense, just dumb luck, or don't matter because the bad plays trump any good plays in their opinion)
