McVay is too new-school/modern for the Cowboys to stop. He might be Garrett's biggest kryptonite out there (and Garrett has a ton of kryptonite). Our chances would have been slim either way but the Cowboys would have matched up better vs. a more familiar opponent and coaching staff in the Saints. I think people cared more about the LA fanbase/crowd atmosphere vs. Superdome but in terms of football, I'd rather face a Payton offense than a McVay offense.

Garrett had nothing to do with the defense playing like crap, so maybe just say our offense wasn't good enough to cover up the defense yesterday.
