its hard to run when at the snap 3 DL are in the backfield all day..he had zero chance most plays to even get started running..even when they tried outside the LBs were there at the snap, he takes 2 steps and they were all over him..this is not a RB issue this was line failure and more so just great defensive play..they set out to simply stop Zeke all day and it worked, we still scored 22 and lost by one score...this was on a defense that gave up 17 in the 2nd quarter and 30 on the day and 277 to 2 running backs..seriously how do you keep on schedule to run down 20-7 at the half and lost TOP by mile??our offense didnt have enough touches to comeback or I think we win this game, not on zeke or Dak, blame the line blame the coaching but how about giving the toher coaches and defense on the other side some credit..they were the better team coming in and going out, did we forget we were picked to lose?
Home team won every one of the 4 games this past weekend.
Yet somehow the Cowboys should have won? With a missing Pro Bowl center and a rookie at left guard? Missing Irving? Rookie at wide receiver and another wide receiver here barely half the season? And doofus coaching?
If the Cowboys could have gotten the last 4th and 1 first down, very possibly we're looking at an overtime game.
It's not like they were completely dominated in all phases of the game, the 273 yards rushing given up and the 36:13 top were the keys. Goff threw for 186 yards and no tds, the pass defense was good enough to win the game.
Obviously the coaches did not prepare for Anderson and a run-heavy offense. And did anyone hear the statement during the game that the Rams' o-line had all 5 starters for all 16 games? Watch the game, they were able fire off the line at the snap and engage the d-line before the d-line could react. To those that insist a run-heavy offense can't win in the NFL, how do you explain this game? Chiefs ran for 4 tds, Mahomes didn't have a single td pass. Pats ran for 4 tds and 155 yards, Brady threw ONE td pass. Brees had 2 td passes, but the Saints ran for 155 yards.
Look, the Rams were the better team. Cowboys still had a chance to win the game, or at least get it to overtime. I'm not one bit surprised the Cowboys' lost, Rams were a 7 1/2 pt favorite, won by 8, essentially the amount of the betting line. This game ended up like it was predicted.
We've found weaknesses and strengths during this season, not sure that the coaches and staff can address those weak areas adequately, but we'll see...
