The notion that Jerry Jones doesnt lift a finger to try to help the team is beyond moronic.

And that us really Beaz “liking” that idiocy, he fits the same category.

If people want to complain about him not firing himself as GM, thats one thing.
But to say he doesn't try to win is lunacy.

It’s not lunacy.

There’s a difference between trying to win, exhausting all options to win......... and trying to win on your terms, the way you want to win.

In other words, it is likely more important for Jerry to win a SB as GM and Garrett as coach than it is for Jerry to win as owner.

Well, I'm sure they were already looking for this years scapegoat. Cole may fit the bill.

you can hit unlike button cole….
That would be my next question. I like and then dislike stuff posted here occasionally. That functionally should be well-known to Beasley if he uses Instagram often. He liked the post intentional if that is the case.

I think it is real simple. Jerry Jones parted ways with Jimmy Johnson who won Super Bowls. Yet he keeps Garrett around, who has won zero Super Bowls. Actions speak louder than words.

Well I do not think Beasley will be back for two primary reasons:
  1. We do not want to overpay for him.
  2. He wants a bigger role elsewhere.
The end.

There is an additional element that should be taken into consideration. Jones does not differentiate being owner and general manager (and president for that matter). All titles are one and the same for him, which is all-encompassing power and control to do his own bidding.

Despite what he has stated publicly in the past, Jones believes he is most qualified to oversee ultimate success for hs franchise. 30 years of restricting general managership for himself, despite having final say as owner and president (a.k.a. overkill), quantifies his narcissistic motivation.

Jones does want to win no matter what even if is to the detriment of his own football operations. However, he does not 'see' himself as a impediment to his own goal but as a catalyst for success. After all, he often self-authenticates by vocally proclaiming "I have won three Super Bowls *wink wink*"

Not that he doesn't try or want too. At this point he just know how. The game has passed him by. He has too many other interests than running a team. He needs a football mind at GM. Someone that will dedicate 100% of the time to making this team better and then he needs to support him like he supports Garrett.

Beasley will not be back. He doesn't want to be back. He will go play somewhere else and likely put up numbers similar to when he lead the team in receptions here. He's a good player, he's just not used very well here and, of course...Dak.

He had his best season under Dak, so what does Dak have to do with anything?

Uh, he had 65 receptions this season and that was after a 4 game stretch he played through an ankle sprain!

This rant is simply not true. Jerry actually overspent us into cap jail for a few years. Jerry is not afraid to spend money. The problem is, he spends it incorrectly. Jerry is a good owner but a terrible GM. That has been true since Jimmy Johnson left. Now Jerry is on this kick about not spending money on free agents. I guess he is feeling good about his drafting the last few years - and he should. We all remember the years we wasted entire drafts with Jerry trading up and down and out of rounds only to pick Quincy Carter. But the Cowboys have lacked something for a long time. They have the foundation for a good team now but again the got to the division round and were completely outclassed. Jerry thinks the Cowboys will get better by just standing pat and letting his young guys develop. To get the 1990s team over the hump he went out and got Haley and Sanders. Perhaps he has forgotten. Now he needs a DT and a safety. But he has not 1st round draft pick. So here we go again.
I agreed with you and gave you a like. However, all the roster moves and trades from 1989-1993 where Jimmy Johnson, Bob Ackles, and John Wooten. Jerry Jones was a sign off GM in name only until he fired Ackles and Wooten after the 1992 season and Johnson after the 1993 season.

Deion Sanders was all Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones is a marketer with a big ego. At that time (1994) his ego was to prove he could win a Super Bowl without Jimmy Johnson as Head Coach. However, if he kept Jimmy Johnson as HC, who defeated teams with Deion Sanders as their CB, a lot of talented players would have stayed for 3-peat (Norton, Gogan, Gesek, etc.) and Jimmy would have added talented in 1994 draft (yes Jimmy already had his Super Scout Ciscowski on Larry Allen). Remember, Deion Sanders was not added to the roster until after Kevin Smith went down to a Achilles tendon injury and Deion came in with a hurt ankle. Jones knew the marketing benefits of adding Deion to the roster, which he heavily exploited, and a one shot chance to prove he was right for firing Johnson from the team Johnson built. Did Deion really deliver that or did the emergence of the emerging Packers delivered a path to the Super Bowl without the 49ers who beat Dallas in the regular season in Dallas 38-20 with Deion Sanders at CB?

Deion Sanders was the end of the 90's Dynasty. See the following:

Although most veterans accepted Sanders' ego and indifference in exchange for the promise of otherworldly play, Aikman -- who had offered to defer part of his salary to help Dallas afford the defensive back -- was disgusted. It was bad enough Switzer approached discipline as if he were the proprietor of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch. Now here was "Neon Deion," teaching via example that image is everything and practice is overrated. From across the locker room, the quarterback would watch Sanders' postgame dressing ritual and cringe. As Jeff Rude of the Dallas Morning News described it: "Most people slip on a shirt when they get dressed. Deion puts on a jewelry store."...
"There was a division between Deion and Troy that began to bubble over," says Kevin Smith. "We called it 'Double Doors' at Valley Ranch. Once we walked through those double doors it was football. We could laugh and joke, but it was all about football. To Aikman, that was sacred....
"When Deion came in, something changed for the worse. Guys who should have been studying football on a Wednesday at 12 o'clock were focused on other things. Deion was such a freaky athlete that he could shake one leg and be ready to cover anyone. But the guys following his lead weren't nearly as talented. You know what they say about dogs that chase cars -- they don't live long."...."You led by example," adds Dale Hellestrae, the offensive lineman. "And his example wasn't very good."...

It makes no sense though. Jerry would make far more money if the Cowboys won a Super Bowl. You may not agree with his approach but he's trying to win.

Exactly. The people who think Jerry's only trying to make money without trying to win don't live in reality. You're spot-on that winning a championship would go perfectly hand-in-hand with making money. Jerry's strategies are totally up for criticism and debate, but the notion that he's not trying to win is just plain silly.

hes trying to win. He just wants to do it JERRYS WAY...not the conventional ways. Thus, we been void of a SB in 23 years. Square peg round hole syndrome every year.

I doubt he ever puts up those numbers again he is way to small and his size dosent allow him to be a impact player week in and out. A dash here a dash there. Beasley is lucky he ever even got a chance in the NFL after quitting.
