Sean Lee "leaning toward" playing again
Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee still hasn't made a firm decision, but his future seems to be pointed toward a return. During an appearance on KTCK "The Ticket," Lee said he's s...

Lee was out for most of the regular season. He could learn SAM. He likely knows all the LB spots already.
All he had to be was better than Damien Wilson.
This season the team would have had to make force that change on the fly without sufficient time to prepare because early on they were easing LVE into the mix, then much of the rest of the season Lee was either completely out or limited in practice. In the coming year they may have the opportunity to work on that change in the offseason and through training camp.
This narrative needs to stop.
Once LVE took off, Lee didn't play. When he returned in week 15 he barely saw the field. Inactive Week 16. He played after LVE was hurt week 17. Did nothing against the Seahawks. Honestly the only time he really took time from LVE was against the Rams - Our D was gassed and LVE was getting abused.
But yeah, blame the team for not planning some radical revision to Lee's role when he's not practicing.
Again....he spent more time injured than playing so regardless if he ca learn a position there is zero confidence in his availability.
He's going to be a year older, injuries get more prevalent with age not the reverse...his days as a key piece of this defense are over and the only question left is can his contract be adjusted enough to accept as a depth and role player
The mental part would not be an issue for Lee. He's like a supercomputer. A super computer can't play football either.
Lee *may* not be healthy. Then again, he *may*.
This year, we failed to plan to make the best use of him in the case he was healthy. We should have planned to get him on the field with Jaylon and LVE. It was stupid and wasteful to *plan* to keep Wilson on the field even if a healthy Lee was available.
It's fair enough to doubt Lee's availability. You should doubt it. It's doubtful. He may not be available. Then again, he may. Make contingency plans for both.
Find a role where we can use him in case he is available. Adjust his contract to protect the team in case he is not available.
He has to be willing to accept that role, and the adjustment to his contract. It's possible he won't accept either. If he wants to play, he'll want a bigger role than we're willing to give him.
There's so much waaaah over Lee's health. It is what it is. Instead of bemoaning it, face it, deal with it, protect the team from his health risk, and make the most of the opportunity a healthy Lee represents. That's a huge opportunity. I don't know why people are so eager to throw that opportunity away.
Even if Lee can't get on the field, he's an asset to the locker room, and in particular to the development of our all star LBs. Worst case health scenario, Lee is still worth a lot to the team.
You guys do know he doesn't have to be a player to be allowed in the locker room, right?
So he wants to collect millions just to spend more time with the trainers and medical staff? That's a sweet deal. Dude needs to stop playing and transition to coaching. It's time.
We messed around with KMoore wasting a roster spot until we just made him a coach
Coaches salaries don't count against the cap so they can pay SLee whatever he wants to coach
from what I heard is LVE had flue like symptoms all week and was drained, Lee came in to spell him.. and what Lee sux all of a sudden? cant even play backup ? I hope he leaves and plays for somewhere else like Ware did because there he will be appreciated and get ring..seriously last year we cant win with out him, this year he sucks so bad he cant have 20-30 plays..This narrative needs to stop.

Uh Joe Thomas, you know the backup getting paid backup money! And if LVE gets injured? Who goes in? Lee is depth, so it wasn't a ridiculous statement at all.
I’ve seen enough. He’s lost just that little edge that made him #50 for the tackle. All 3 last games he played it was the same thing. Either a step late to the party,or couldn’t get off a block.or couldn’t make the tackle. Not doing this LVE sitting on the bench, while the offense gracefully glides down the field in unison business again. I’m for the youth movement, and bringing in more LBs at depth.
