Exactly wasn't he the qb coach of a division winning qb who some say is a top level qb? What's the problem?
Can someone pull up Dak's stats from the second half of the year? He improved a lot so I was under the impression it had something to do with the coaching.

Just great, another Jerry hand picked HC in training. 20 more years of nothing.
18 years from now Jerry will fire them all, bring in Tom Brady to be the HC so he can lobby to get a new stadium.

edit...oops, meant Tony Romo....

Just shows how powerless the new OC will be.
To me it pretty much means that or they are just promoting internally.

Any OC worth his salt is going to want synergy with their QB coach. Nothing like having your most key assistant being pre-installed.

That's what the pro Dak crowd tells me and shows the stats from the second half of the season. I mean Moore had nothing to do with that? If he didn't why do we care who the qb coach is if it's all Dak all the time?

But I was told on here that the QB coach here did not mean anything, as he isn't supposed to help the QB with footwork and such. So why would he help the OC too.

It’s not the end of the world.

Richard came here without having all the power at first. He changed the secondary scheme and over the season took control of the whole unit. The FO is trying to find the offensive version of Richard.

That’s correct....it is not the QB coaches job to fix fundamental technique issues in a 3rd year QB mid season. Kellen Moore most likely has his head in the film room damn near constantly breaking everything down. No qb coach does it, that’s why there’s “QB Coaches” and camps in the off season. If your qb doesn’t know to set his feet before throwing by now there’s nothing a QB coach is going to do about it.

I have no issue with Moore as qb coach, he’s a young bright guy...exactly what you want. He sure didn’t stick around in D1 college and the NFL because of his throwing skills

Think about it...you are an offensive genius. Good opportunity in Dallas BUT Jerry tells who you are working with. No chance to pick your guys.

Something tells me this OC pick is going to be a major let down.

Do OC’s typically do this?

Again I disagree. It is the QB coaches job to help the QB in all aspects of the game. Including footwork and to point that out on film, and to get them to correct it.
