With Scott Linehan gone, perfect time for Dez to come back?

let me say it in an easy way you understand...no, no no no no no no no no no... and no.

Dez was slowed by injuries and age when we let him go. he sat on his couch until NO had injuries to WR group and called him up. then he injured his Achilles, which takes about 2 years to really heel and for you to get your quickness back. Dez didn't have much quickness to start with, now lost what he didn't have and will be much older. what's the benefit of having Dez? absolutely nothing....
Dez brings a strong red zone threat. Even in his down years he had 15 touchdowns in 2 years despite being hurt for 3-4 games.

If Dez is good enough for drew Brees he sure as hell is good enough for Dak
Yes he was so talented they signed him 8 weeks into the season after being available since april. That's talent there.

Once again, op called him elite, he's not even close to that.

I understand that the common sentiment is no to Dez. I get it.

But Dez signed for the minimum with NO.

Y'all wouldn't want to replace Noah Brown with Dez costing maybe $250k more of cap space?
This on a team that struggled mightily in endzone. Boy I'd definitely look into that, keeping nostalgic factors out.

Some people care less about winning and more about drama!

Good Lord, some of you amaze me with y'all post and comments.

We have guys wanting to bring Dez back and calling him elite.

We have guy's wanting Romo as a OC who has NEVER been a coach much less called plays before. Which I funny because the knock on the JG hiring as the OC was he had only been a position coach for 2 years and wasn't ready.

We have guys who mention Romo as a HC and Witten as a OC. Which I also find funny because the knock on JG as a HC was he didn't have enough experience and was a coach training on the job.

You really can't classify Romo like that. He was on the sideline for several years before taking over. He also learned from one of the best in Parcells. He wasn't just a QB. He was an on-field coach. We could do a lot worse than Romo as an OC in my opinion. Problem is, l think Garrett would feel threatened by him. . .

Dez is an elite strong talent that was used as a scapegoat coverup for this inept offense and coaching.

Having both Dez and Amari on this team is an automatic 15-20 Touchdowns. With Gallup coming along and Zeke keeping the field short cowboys would have the greatest Offensive core in the league.

90% of the team loves him except now 2nd string Snake Lee.

Should we bring back double team Dez?

you can say what you will about Dez ... the reason(s) he's no longer there are:

  1. He dropped footballs
  2. He was expensive - especially since he dropped footballs
  3. He was a disruption on the sideline with a "Me first" attitude

I love him - but I don't want him on my team.

I’m one of Dez’s biggest supporters. That said, the ship has sailed; keep it moving.
You hear stuff like that...and you wonder if we will bring back Witten or T.O. When have we ever brought anyone back that was high profile once we cut the cord? Jerry burns bridges...he doesn't build them.

Dez is a 31 year old (next season) WR coming off a torn Achilles. Stop living in the past.

It’s very possible Dez never plays football again. He had very few suitors when healthy. Now with his achilles it’s going to be even worse for him.

I mean Tony Romo called plays for years.
