Interesting that the players with an inside view and experience, would feel relieved, if the notion is with some that Dak is the main problem.

Considering that he was probably wondering why we went from running bootlegs and an actual NFL offense in the Giants game that didnt matter, to going back to making him into Troy Aikman, in the playoffs, I bet he walked him out the door.
I don't know that Dak would be all that happy about this at all. There was no bigger fan of Dak in the building, and he had a really big role in bringing him here. And regardless of what happened, the job Linehan did in 2016 with him was nothing short of masterful, getting a 4th rounder ready to play at a high level with pretty much no lead time.
Mac Engel wrote an interesting column about how it's hard for an OC to look like a genius in a run based offense, and it's especially hard when your QB misses the occasional big plays that you are able to set up perfectly.

Linehan simply smiled and went down with the ship as Dak checked-down his career into the toilet. The next OC may not be quite as quiet about where the problem lies if the offense remains a problem.

Claiming a "sense of relief" is a general comment that can neither be confirmed or refuted, so whether the reporter is portraying this accurately or just making things up, he gets to suck readers in without risk of repercussion.
Maybe. But it's also not an unbelievable statement.

You are basically giving Linehan credit for Prescott for dump off passes.

The more astute among us have been saying linehan needed to go for years. Not sure why Jerry is always one of the last to know.
Honestly..when I saw us vs Seattle last year I knew we had to do something different. Our offense...everyone ran the same routes. All curls...or all vertical. We never ran any routes that complimented one another.

Enough negative comments have been made by enough players that I have no difficulty believing there is a sense of relief among the players. Now it's time to turn attention to the defense.

1. I suggest these players **** because now they have no excuse.
2. Show some professionalism. You may be out if a job soon too.

We should all remember linehan was brought in cause garret was bad at calling the plays. I guess all those years where he had calvin johnson and they used to just heave the ball up to him 10 times a game made him look better than he was.

That was the same game that told me the players didn’t like Linehan

No it's not, but rumors rarely are. I'm not saying the players aren't glad he's gone, but it seems like pretty irresponsible "journalism" to make your "intuition" part of the story.
