The Dallas Cowboys should not be in the business of having on-the-job-learning coaches. Especially at key roles on the coaching staff!!
As elementary as your statement is, it eludes the Wildcatter completely. He continues to think there's oil at the bottom of the Garrett well and, if the latest reports are true, he thinks he's found a gusher with Moore.

Anyone denouncing Moore’s capabilities as an OC is just spewing crap at this point.

He’s never done it, so you literally have no clue.

Of course, he could suck, but he could be the second coming of Bill Walsh.

First impressions if all this turns out to be true: No problem with Moore having a major role in game planning, but I have my doubts that we'll pass enough on early downs if Garrett is the one calling the plays.

Play selection on 1st & 10
Games 1-12: run 53% pass 47%
Games 13-18: run 54% pass 46%

Dallas success rate on 1st & 10
Games 1-12
pass 45.1% run 33.1%
Games 13-18
pass 46.5% run 24.4%

Defenses caught up to our tendency to run on 1st and 10, but we just kept running anyway. Even after Garrett supposedly took over the offense late in the season.

So they are gonna take a coach who wasnt qualified to be QB coach and promote him to OC? Got it. Just as long as everybody is comfortable.
Are they? Or is this a rumor and Moore isn’t a serious candidate? I’m certainly not taking it as definite or even likely unless something more comes out.

So exactly what coordinator is going to come here with a head coach on the last year of his contract and try to implement a dynamic scheme with a QB who isn't capable of running it anyway.

Garrett is going to call the plays anyway most likely. It's his offensive scheme.

LOL.

My god people.

Really?

What does he prefer to do on third and long?

What’s his favorite base formation?

What’s his pass/run ratio?

You LITERALLY know nothing about him.

No Chief, you literally know nothing. NOTHING.

That's right, his resume is so impressive. Becomes the QB coach of the guy who beats him out in the spot. Gets promoted to OC in 3 years. That must be how other organizations do it too

That’s the point, Chief.

He’s an unknown. This is a franchise entering its 9th year under this head coach and has little in term of high level results. They just finished a season where the offense wasn’t good enough to where they fire their OC. So clearly they want the offense to be better. They have a young QB that was up and down last year and needs a new direction in terms of an offense.

And their solution? Hire a guy who has NEVER been an OC in his life at any level and has only ONE YEAR of Coaching experience.

That’s a monumentally risky move that they don’t have to take, if they indeed hire him. Why take that risk? Why not bring in a guy with a real track record and experience in coaching a high level offense?

That’s the point. Chief.

Some jokes become reality around here. lol

I guess Dallas management read the message boards. They can't come up with new ideas themselves.

Moore being an OC is a joke with his level of experience. Why wasn't anything said about how terrific Moore was during the seasonal games?

It’s like you continue to miss the point on purpose.

Lol.

Tell us, oh masterful one, what are his tendencies when calling his offense?

Don’t play any shell game, don’t move the goalposts, don’t divert, don’t fein ignorance…just answer my one, simple question.

Answer it.
