Do you honestly believe we are that far off?

Based on what I saw in the Rams's/Saints we aren't

Even with JG as our HC

Even with Dak as our QB

Even with JJ as our owner

Even with Kitna as the QB coach

AND the possibility of Mini Me Moore as our OC

We aren't that far behind McVay/Goff, Payton/Brees and the Rams/Saints.

All NFL teams are not far off, except for the Patriots, it's a year to year league. Next year we will be chasing the next upstart team..... it just seems it's never the Cowboys.

mr mojo--- so true...evrey other year we have a pretty good regular season and then every 4th year we win a wild card game...that is our ceiling i think

I love how if people don’t agree that we are great, in great shape, ready to kick butt they are somehow pushing a narrative or haters, etc.

Light years in coaching. For example, in the Playoff loss, the Rams before the half expired had a long pass play and were able to get their entire team down field and "clock" it to allow a long FG attempt. How many times have the Cowboys had to waste a t/o or take a delay of game penalty late in the half or worse, following a t/o? Coaching is the key.

The thing is we are close.

We are realistically an OC, TE, DT, and FS away and all of those could be obtained this next off-season we were smart, aggressive, and creative.

Instead, we are complacent and arrogant. We eliminate ideas before they actually become available (free agents) and we anoint underlings (Kellen Moore) in an effort to appear clever.

We are our own obstacle and unfortunately the biggest progress stopper around.

talentwise we are close, the mere fact we havent wont a SB with this talent is laughable around the league.

the coaching kills it. its so far back and so far messed up, its created a culture of mediocrity that is just accepted. we have a former qb coach, our back up qb situation sucks and oru first string qb situation cant be refined for better results. its laughable.

DeMarcus Lawrence needs to be taken care of with a new contract, 3 Tech needs to be addressed in a major way and a safety needs to be added.

its like..on Monday Garrett tells the world...we did a good job this year and dont expect any changes...and then later in week..Garrett says..by mutual decision Linehan left....I would not ever trust a person like that who will say anything at anytime to look good
