Nice that Nantz doesn't introduce him as HOFer Tony Romo every time he shows up on the screen. Damn Buck, give it a rest.
Romo was charged up to have that game yesterday and that was refreshing to see some real excitement but I can see where this predicting could backfire with some of the coaches and his access to them and the teams prior to games. Think McVay might look at a replay of that game and pay particular attention to what Romo is pointing out prior to the play? I do think it's a unique twist of his doing that but I also think others could do that as well but are sensitive to how the coaches might see that. These analysts are privy to information others do not have and see things in practices but it is understood they will talk about that only after it happens. And coaches can get very weird and downright paranoid.
Many times, you will hear Collinsworth talk about something they saw that week but only after it has happened. I think Romo does a fine job, an excellent one yesterday, but I would prefer to guess myself what they're going to do and watch it unfold rather than follow someone else's prediction. I like surprises.
So, with all of this praise, is he going to go more all out in two weeks? Will there be a Romo Pool at parties on how many times he's right? The Romo Drinking Game, every time he's right, chug-a-lug! Think Vegas might establish the over/under on correct predictions?
