From the article...

While he has been described as “incredibly hard working,” “determined,” and “highly intelligent,” Wentz also has been dubbed as, quoting from the story, “‘selfish,’ ‘uncompromising,’ ‘egotistical,’ one who plays ‘favorites’ and doesn’t like to be ‘questioned,’ one who needs to ‘practice what he preaches’ and fails ‘to take accountability.'”

“Carson Wentz’s biggest enemy is Carson Wentz,” one unnamed source told Santoliquito. “He’s had his *** kissed his whole life, and sometimes acts like he’s won 10 Super Bowls, when he hasn’t played in, let alone won, a playoff game yet. Everyone around him wants good things for him. He did more thinking on the field than he did playing [in 2018]. You don’t have to be a brain surgeon or a football expert to see how differently this team plays and reacts with one guy as opposed to the other.”

This doesn’t even seem like a story.

Seems like Wentz is slightly immature and thinks his way is the best way.

Doesn’t seem out of the ordinary for your average 26 year old

Nice we don't hear that crap about Dak This team will walk through the fire for him

To be fair, we don't have anybody on the roster who can win a game for us, much less challenge at starting, at the QB position. Philly does.

I'm all for any QB controversy that can happen in Philly. You can guarantee that if Wentz doesn't start off the season well next season then the QB controversy about whether or not they should have kept Foles will start to brew. Every bad throw, INT, and bad game/loss that Wentz has will be highlight and criticized tenfold.

Besides having to physically bounce back and recover from his injury next season, Wentz will have an added mental and emotional pressure that he has to overcome, in order to prove himself. Going to be a test of his mental toughness to overcome being injury prone and worrying about how Philly fans will respond, the second that he struggles.

To be fair, the most selfish QBs I’ve ever heard of were named Rodgers, Favre, Manning... Mayfield is looking like he’s going that route. Didn’t Marino outright refuse to run the ball for the long stretches?

Tannehill is apparently a really nice guy though.

There is already a thread on this.

The story has also been refuted by multiple Eagles players.

This is coming after they didn't tell him he had a fractured back and it upset Wentz and many players in the locker room.

There are 2 sides to every story and I have never seen Wentz present himself like this tweet suggests.
Well there you go. you have never seen it so it isn't true.

Funny...my best friend Eagle fan believes it is true.

It may very well be true but it's convenient that the organization reportedly did not tell him the results of his X-rays and that he and many of the players were upset that they did that and now all of a sudden they are trying to smear him.

Maybe they just want to keep Foles and trade Wentz so they are starting a smear.

These problems says more about their organization then it does Wentz really. If this is true then they must've allowed it early and it manifested into this.

Well that's a nice conspiracy but not a fact.
I searched and found no evidence that the team hid the injury from Wentz.

If you want to believe that the team just getting beat by us and dropping to 6-6 and then decided to mysteriously try another CT scan and magically getting a different result diagnosis really happened then that’s on you.

You are pushing the conspiracy theory.

IMO that is good for fueling the QB controversy. It keeps the topic in the news cycle and also gives the media a reason to dig for more sources that support Wentz being a diva or find players that support Foles.

These are all conversations that can easily be had in private.

Especially with a young QB. It's not like he has achieved enough to be some kind of Aaron Rodgers type of Diva.

Philadelphia got busted for not telling him that he had a fractured back and it reportedly upset a lot of players in the locker room that they didn't tell him.

Now we start hearing the he is some kind of problem.

If the story is from a legit source then maybe they just want to keep Foles and they are trying to sell the fan base on it by doing this through the media so they can trade Wentz.

Smear then trade.
You keep repeating that the eagles didnt tell him he had. fractured ack which is patently untrue.

As you would know if you listened to Pederson's pc on the subject, the medical reports are sent to the players Dr. simultaneously so there can be no secrets. Carson was included in the decision making process for his injury.

Anything deviating from that and doing what you allege would open philly up to the biggest lawsuit ever.

It's not a theory, exactly.

The story broke about how the someone on the team had apparently leaked the injury to the press and some other players before they told Wentz. It wasn't that they tried to hide the injury, it was that apparently they didn't handle the dissemination of information properly and that rubbed Wentz the wrong way.

At least that was the rumor.
