Is there a possibility of Zeke holding out?

unless he gets a new contract. I say let him rot. Perfect excuse to draft a young stud with our 3rd round pick and let him start the season.
So waste a 3rd rounder on a running back when we have one of the best in the league?

You can't sit here and tell this guy to touch the football 30+ times a game and when its time to pay him expect for him to not want to get paid. The end game was always to re-sign him. If it wasn't....it was moronic to draft a running back that high.

If I had to choose between zeke or tank, I'd choose zeke. Losing him would be a greater loss to the team.

It would. But this organization doesn't even have to chose between the two. They have enough money to afford both.

This organization claims they want to win from the draft. Ok. Now time to pay your draft picks you want to win with.

Well....its not like they underachieved. They lost to a better team.
A team with a qb still on his rookie contract and a rb whose deal was renegotiated after only his 3rd season.

If you are going to be a run first football team you need more than one great back. Need two good backs. If Zeke goes down your entire scheme falls apart. Always nice to have another good back on the squad as to push Zeke and let him know that another young back will take his spot if his demands become too great. Also nice to groom a guy in case the demands are too ridiculous.

Thank Steelers and James Conner.

Those look more like opinion articles to me coming from TLH and 12up. Has Zeke stated or hinted to holding out?

Its talk, what can I tell you. I guess my title made it seem like he has already threatened, my bad.

Its a conversation during the offseason.

It's always so funny to me when so many of you are so pro-ownership. GET YOUR COINS ZEKE!

How is it any more funny then pro player? Whats the difference? Cant run a franchise giving every player huge money. Need to run the franchise like a business. Those that do it the best are typically THE best.

Steelers missed out on the playoffs though lol. Bell meant more to that team inside that locker room than they expected. I hope the Cowboys don't make that same foolish mistake.

You missed the point. When Bell wasnt there, they had another quality back come in and did a great job. James Conner missed the last 3 or 4 games of the season FYI. Conner at least kept them in playoff contention.

Zeke needs rest as well. Cant feed the kid the ball 30 times a game and expect him NOT to slow down. HE was NOT the same back at the end of the season seemed worn down to me.

Let him play out his 5 year contract then tag him for 2 years. He won't last much longer than 7 years on how he runs and how we use him.
