All who watch this Super Bowl will destroy what football should be

Can't say I'm all that in to it this year.
But that's pretty weak, telling others what they should or shouldn't watch. It's still just a game.
Come on

In my opinion, the best effective message NFL fans can send Goodell and his employers should not happen during the Super Bowl but on day one of the draft. After all, Goodell is disliked for various reasons across all fanbases. So, what do I think would be an extremely easy-to-organize, cost-free demonstration that would make owners and league management pause and contemplate--strictly in the literal sense?

Most or every fan in the draft audience become silent, stand and turn their back to the stage while Goodell announces each pick. They should only turn around after the drafted player walks on stage and cheer (not boo) the players' life moment.

The player will not care and he will be honored by the audience's reception.

Both ESPN and NFL Network would continuously and seriously comment about the negative atmosphere of audience--as opposed to their annual sarcastic remarks of grown people booing while knowing Goodell could not care less.

Some audience members will still wish to boo involuntarily but the same enclosed environment-based mob mentality should easily be adopted as time passes by most in attendance (aka copycatting).

Just a practical thought. Now back to the latest D.O.A. boycott idea.

That would be a vast improvement over a bunch of drunk guys uselessly booing so loud you can barely hear the pick. But if you really want to "send a message", don't attend the draft in the first place. An empty venue would speak volumes, but will never happen.

Yep. The likelihood of no one attending is remote. Sports events (although the draft is not a competition it can be labeled as such in my opinion) are attractive to consumers--especially those who can afford them, lol. Avoiding one people will not shut down such events. Getting a few people to say, "Check it. Stand up and turn from him every time Goodell comes on stage. Spread the word" is a not so farfetched idea that could easily happen.

I'll use the same non-call I did with nathanit. The saints were driving to take the lead and on 3rd down threw a pass to Kamara and Jaylon Smith lowered his head and had a blatant helmet to helmet hit along the sideline that was not called. Was it because that call went in favor of the Cowboys that you didn't have your little rant about missing calls that are so obvious? Yes the league needs to come up with some way to prevent most of these missed obvious calls but to sit and whine about it here now 2 weeks after the fact where whining about it here will do less than zero to get those changes is just that whining.
.

I'm not ranting or whining. It's not unreasonable to discuss officiating in a thread about the topic on an NFL forum.

The Kamara call versus Dallas was a missed a call, but it wasn't as egregious to me for a few reasons.

The call wasn't as blatant.
It wasn't a call that would have sealed the game one way the other.
It wasn't the playoffs where the officials need to be at their best.

Using a different call example doesn't take away from how bad that Saints-Rams call was. It was one of the worst calls I've ever seen--so bad that it's going to lead to a rule change.

I know the title is provocative, but I'm not leading with that to annoy others, just for the fun of it.

I'm serious when I say that Goodell needs to hear the message loud and clear, the debacle that the NFL has become will not be tolerated. Officials who watch NFL receivers get blasted, helmet to helmet, before the ball arrives, and then do nothing about it, have revealed a great deal.

They've revealed they are acting maliciously toward a team in the playoffs.
They have been given instructions to prohibit one team from winning.
Incompetence will no longer cloak these truths.

Knowing that, (there is no dispute or controversy) will you actually promote the destruction of the NFL by watching?

I know that Super Bowl parties are a tradition, and they are a great opportunity for socializing, but the time to act is now. Football will be unwatchable if the public ignores the game fixing that went on. I've been invited to a Super Bowl party already, but I've turned it down. I know its not an easy thing to do.

Will you seriously consider making other plans? Fishing, a get together with friends, doing anything else?

The NFL must get this message. WHAT FOOTBALL HAS BECOME IS UNACCEPTABLE!!

It became unacceptable the moment the Patriots got handed the Lombardi thanks to the "tuck rule" and you are still watching. The tuck rule was far worst than the "No call" because the Raiders would have won 100%. Saints still had to make the field goal. All Raiders had to do was kneel. Not to mention the Raiders never got the ball back while the saints got the ball back in OT.

The tuck rule is still at the top of the mountain, but I don't think this non call is too far off.

It isn't, but the tuck rule is probably the most devastating moment in NFL lore.

With that said, Brady won his first SB thanks to the "tuck rule". And if history repeat itself, Goff will win his first SB because of the "no call" and right a wrong with a wrong!

Nothing needs to change People have never made such a big deal about a non-call since instant replay has been used to correct calls even though there have been a lot of missed calls. In other words ONE TIME IN 32 YEARS and now people are calling for more penalties. Whether any non-call becomes reviewable or you add extra officials, you are just inviting more penalties to be called. We could go without changes and not have another such egregious call for another 30 years at this rate.
Also, if a QB gets to the line quickly and runs a play after a questionable catch then the questionable catch can't be reviewed because another play has now counted in the game. So when Payton agreed to continue the game after the non-call, he knew was throwing away any chance of getting it reversed. Also, NO had a three point lead after the play with under two minutes left and they blew it.

people will not stop watching...NFL is a several billion dollar a year industry...and controversy will actually get more people watching...it was the WORST NO CALL in history of NFL and it led to Rams going to super bowl...but people wont boycott NFL...yes much complaining but no boycott...of course this is only my opinion

actually i like Terrell Owens view on how to handle this bad no call....play the last 1:30 over..after instituting the appropriate call for that no call....yes this is very extreme but it is in the rules that commissioner can do this??

This is probably the greatest SB of my life! Hopefully it makes up for the SB between the Titans and Rams.

Coincidentally, with the same two teams (one of which in a different city this time around) from that very Super Bowl. Oh, and they'll be playing in a stadium that's in the same division as their first SB meeting.

Well first of all TO does is complain like he did as a player. He not a very smart person so that why he doesn't understand the rule. The rule state that judgement call cannot be replay, clubs complain cannot be replay, and the rules is in place in case of a natural disaster.

But no TO being a celebrity comes on the show and just repeat what other people have said. I doubt he even read it.

Don't all commissioner suck though? They are hire to benefit the owners not the fans. David Stern veto CP3 trade. Roger Goodell is a Saints (LOL) compare to David Stern.

Once other plays take place after the non-call you can't and shouldn't be able to do anything. You can't negate those plays. Payton could have refused to come back on the field and he probably would have forfeited the game. He might have looked better if that had happened. But he chose to take a three point lead with under two minutes and still lose the game. I would be super pissed if I was a Saints fan, but even if TO was right and you could replay the game from that point, the Rams would want it replayed from 5 minutes earlier with the missed facemark penalty on Goff that would have given the Rams first and goal at the one.
