Pats looked beatable in this game Brady coughing it up early but Goff was bad . Dak would have ran the ball on the Pats . Goff couldn't get out of his own way he was a statue . Dak would have rolled out and forced the Pats to pick there poison .

Dak could have won this game . He would have imposed his will . Goff looked uninspired and flat like scared little boy . This was an ugly game that needed a grown *** man to take control of it .

Jared Off showed his true colors. Needs a good running game so he can get easy throws in the play action game. Defense played great and they can’t even get 13 points.

Counting the Superbowl, I've seen Goff play 2 games. I've seen Wentz play a handful. I just don't care about them at all. If Dak is our QB, I'm going to root for him. I want him to continue to improve. I want the team to rally around his skill set..be it running the ball, handing it to the RB, finding an open receiver or just straight willing a win to happen late in the 4th. I felt the same way about Romo.

I don't like everything about our team, but I won't root for any player on our team to fail so I look like I knew better than others. Dak isn't Brady. Neither is anyone else. I just think we have a lot of things that need fixing more than Dak. When my wife, who only watches football because I do, can predict with shocking accuracy what our next offensive play will be, you can bet that coordinators across the league know. When your top-end-of-the-league defense absolutely disappears from time to time, that's a bigger issue.

If everyone in the league had known the body of work Romo would have, he would have been an incredibly high draft pick. If everyone knew the body of work Dak would have at this point in his career, he would have been a very high draft pick. Totally different games, but I'm fans of both. I'm not a fan of either Goff or Wentz. I'm not even a fan of Brady. They aren't Cowboys.

After seeing Goff's superbowl performance, I'm more than glad we have Dak.

Goff played with no heart, no fire, no emotion.

It is evident that Goff needs just as a strong supporting cast and a great offensive minded head coach in order to be successful.

Dak almost has as many weapons but not a lower level coach.

Dak has the heart and leadership skills to win a superbowl.

Goff is a system QB, He has decent arm talent. I have not seen the guy complete a pass outside the numbers. He should not have been the number 1 pick, and the Rams are in a tough situation. I would not want to pay him 30 million a year. McVay is the reason Goff is successful.
I think if Dak was 15% more accurate, not completion % wise, but passes that he misses that are easy. Crossing patterns, passes up the seam. Complete passes that you should when in the pocket, he would be so much better as a QB.

The issue is pay, these middling QBs are just overpayed, they all are you could argue. If the likes of Goff/Dak were given say 16m/year, you'd gladly sign them to 10 year even. But the likes of Cousin distort the market and you end up having to cough up 25m, you can see the appeal of just working with rookie contract guys.

Which is why I don't get, why some turn a QB who can make plays with his feet into a negative thing. Some say that defenses can figure mobile QBs out and be able to stop them, which is sometimes true. But, traditional pocket passing QBs can be game planned for as much as mobile QBs can. But, everyone likes to focus on how defenses are able to gameplan for QBs like Dak and insist that the traditional pure pocket passing QB, is the only type of QB in the NFL, who can have a long term career or long term success.

I'm sure that Rams fans would have taken Goff running for big yards or running the ball in for a TD and wouldn't be complaining about Goff running, due to the mentality that a QB shouldn't run and should stay in the pocket or only pass, no matter what. I'll take whatever positive plays a QB can make, whether he makes them with his arms or legs.

And once a defense is able to shut down a statue QB's passing lanes and pressure him, then that defense knows they pretty much have the answer to limiting that QB all game. With a mobile QB, a defense will have to shut down the passing game and still contain the QB, when passing plays don't work out or break down.

LOL.

Nothing is better than making sweeping judgments of a QB based off one game, a game that our QB has never sniffed yet in 3 years of NFL play compared to the other guy.

But Dak doesnt have the throwing skills of Goff. Overall Goff had a better season...why do Dak fans have to try and tear down every qb? Im surprised nobody has made a dak vs brady thread
When you can’t build up whatever you’re defending, you resort to tearing down the other side.

Don't confuse thinking Wentz or some other young QB is better as the same as wanting Dak to fail.

I think, too often, the pro-Dak crown confuses the two concepts. I don't want Dak to fail. But I think there are other young QBs I'd rather have.

people don't wanna hear this...DAK CARRIED THIS TEAM late in the season. Look no further than the last game of the year. Dak willed the team down the field and threw an absolute perfect pass to Cole to win..ON THE ROAD against a division foe. For some reason, Linehan took the ball out of Daks hands in the playoffs and cuffed him. Turns out, that's what beat us in L.A....Linehan, poor coaching...and thus, we couldn't stop the Rams all night in the middle.

this is not a debate they are different QBs and the entire Wentz vs Dak VS Goff arent warranted they play on different teams with different offenses and all have some ups and downs..the only thing we can really make a conclusion to is Dak is hated on much more then he deserves as these situations prove that QBs arent perfect and all have pros and cons..the advantage the playoff teams had over us was a slight edge in coaching and that what Beat the Rams, BB has been there done that and out coached the rams..

In his last 8 games including the playoffs:

6 TDs
8 INTs
7 fumbles
228 YPG
54% completions
72 QB rating
Looks like the league has adjusted to him. LIke happened to Dak only compounded by having a predictable offense with limited weapons.

Let's see if Goff can overcome this adversity.
