Goff didn't have a running game against the Saints and was clutch. Being young and going up against a HC that confuses even veteran QBs kinda has a way of bringing out poor performances in the opposition.
We'll make comparisons of Goff and Dak when Dak makes his clutch drives in a championship. Until then, Goff may be 0-1 in the Super Bowl, but Dak is 0-2 in the divisional round. Since that's how we are judging QBs.
Dak makes a clutch drive, with or without a drive and people would still point to the 270 yard rushing game prior to the NFC Championship game and say that Zeke got him there. Also, let's not pretend like Dak being clutch in an NFC Championship game, wouldn't have gotten him bashed to the moon and back, if he only pulled off 3 points against the Patriots in the Superbowl.
Goff wouldn't have gotten to the NFC Championship game, without our defense giving up 270 yards rushing and this is a fact. The Refs gave the Rams their spot in the Superbowl, this is another fact. And both which would be used to discredit Dak. Since, everything is used to discredit Dak, while other QBs get excused or get the benefit of the doubt. Like Goff is receiving.
Just like some will keep complaining about excuses being made for Dak. Yet, make excuses for Goff, where under the same circumstances they wouldn't be made for Dak. Now, some point to Goff "getting them there". When the same ones would just either focus on what Dak did wrong, in order to make the Cowboys only score 3 points in the Superbowl or they would would discredit Dak getting to the Superbowl, and say that the COwboys were there for other reasons.
Yet, if Cowboys fans were to focus on Dak getting them to the Superbowl or what Dak did in the Championship game, to counter a 3 point offensive performances, they would be called "Dak homers"
Dak supporters get criticized by Dak doubters for focusing on the good games, whenever the Cowboys lose or has a bad offensive performance. Yet, others cherry pick when they want to defend the QBs they support.
