Why would she? She loves her man.Whether she likes it or not it doesn't change the fact that Brady admitted he could sign the contract he did because of the income that both he and his wife make. I don't see or hear her running to see a divorce attorney.

The quarterback position is the most valuable position there is. If you have a worthwhile quarterback, the face of your franchise, like rodgers then you should pay the guy. But we see what paying Rodgers does to Greenbay and I don't think it should be like that. I think you should be able to insure you have your franchise quarterback and still be able to surround him with weapons. I think the system is broken if you pay your QB and then everyone else on the Team is average.
Why would she? She loves her man.
That's not quite a fair assessment. The national student loan debt exceeds the total national credit card debt. Imo, high school students graduating with a 3.0 or above should be admitted to state colleges for free. They're our future. Higher education shouldn't be just for the wealthy. So someone needs to work harder and give more to that dumb person who decided that college was not for them and because well everyone should be comfortable. Serious? Free cars and houses too?
I dont care that much either way, think it's notthe same because there’s a cap in the NFL.No, QB's should make as much as possible. Its like the debates that the Top 1% have too much wealth...Ridiculous.
I didn't mention race, only gpa. I have a good friend who was a former mlb player. (Pretty good one). He has 3 kids, 4 years apart. He paid college costs for 12 years in a row. Destroyed his retirement plans. Imo, kids that work hard should be rewarded regardless of race. What greater reward than an education.White kids, even those with GPA of 3.0 or higher have to pay because the colleges have to have the money they need to pay for all the minority kids they're required to accept and give financial help to (allowed to attend for free). My niece graduated 2 years ago and her roommate was a minority and her roommate didn't have to pay for anything, room and board, meals, books, tuition, nothing and she wasn't on any scholarship just a minority who got everything paid for by the taxpayers and those white kids who actually paid to go to college.

I believe they should increase the cap....for sure. Some owners are exploiting having the salary cap on their side.rocyaice----yes you make some good points...i am not upset at any QB for signing such a contract..who wouildn't?....so yes how ever it works who makes up the rules..CBA and NFL....it hurts the game in the long run..so yes either increase salary cap or limit ceiling of what a QB can make
Higher education is hardly just for the wealthy. I just paid off $225k of my daughters student loan debt, thanks Dad! I don’t even want to tell you how many of her friends on campus were there on freaking 100% free rides as I just may have to start yelling in the middle of the night while laying in bed and my wife hates when I do that. That's not quite a fair assessment. That's the most viable option.I believe they should increase the cap....for sure. Some owners are exploiting having the salary cap on their side.

These players should get paid on how they perform. Typical example. Why should one have a boo boo and sit out a game making thousands, while his replacement is on the field working making the same?! These contracts are out of control. And there's no ending in sight. This is America. Whether they end up being worth it or not, the QB, like every other player, should get every dollar the market will pay.
Very commendable. But not everyone can afford 225k. I hope she remembers every fathers day.Higher education is hardly just for the wealthy. yes they should..no more than 9-10% of cap
yes i realize we all would probably do same thing but...i am sick of QB's being over paid too...look how much Minnesota gave their QB..and its all guaranteed...makes me sick
They are also known as some of the greatest champions in their respective sports because of their lower salaries, which is my point more than anything. So if you think you have a chance to be like them, you can go for it. Or, you can be a very rich player who may or may not become a champion.Come on, my 11 year old nephew knows why Brady and Jordan were able to sign "smallish" contracts. Brady has a wife that makes as much as he does and Jordan originally made more money of his Nike endorsement, enough so that he was able to buy into Nike and have his own shoe and has made more from that than any NBA contract. That's why they were able to sign smallish contracts. BTW Brady's salary is small at 4 mill but the bonuses he gets paid puts him up to a cap hit of 22 mil. Yes that's lower than one might think he would make but again he has a very rich wife.

Labor cost are not all that high especially in the service industry which makes up most of the new growth in our economy. Most retail and restaurant payrolls are 20-30% of their cost and their cost for goods sold is their greatest cost which is anywhere from 40-60% on average or more. And owners take home after all expenses is usually closer to 1-5%.Almost all businesses employee cost is the largest costs and that is true with the NFL. Most businesses employee costs run between 40% - 45%. As the TV revenue and merchandising grows each year SO DOES the cap. For you to say that the owners should give even more of the money it receives to the players is wrong. The owners are the ones that put up the capital to get each team so besides the players who get 48% of the money the owners have other costs to pay for like refs, all the people employed at the league offices, attorneys, the donations to charities and then each owner has his cost on the stadium they play in, the costs to pay for the charter flights to fly to games and hotels and buses to and from the games, their practice facilities, their own employees in their team offices, the coaches and probably a 100 other things. So after all the other costs they have after the player's cut, owners probably end up with only about 25% - 30% of the money far below the 48% the players get and you want the owners to give up more?

The Salary Cap was implemented to simply control their greatest expense. The salary cap is the worst offender IMO. Huge salaries for QBs is at odds with the salary cap. Top QBs take such a heavy toll on the salary cap that like you said, they can't afford to get the other players they need.
So there's only 2 ways to fix that, either limit the huge QB salaries or dump the salary cap.
I've never been a fan of the salary cap.
Please...everyone put your adult pants on.
Nobody on the planet is paid what they are worth. They are paid what the market dictates a person with the skill set necessary to fill a position in a company is worth. That is true for the guy emptying trash cans at Wally World all the way up to the CEO of the largest company in the world.
If you complain about a QB making $25 million a year but don't complain about Ellen DeGeneres making $75 million a year or The Rock making $124 million a year please help everyone out by posting "I'm a hypocrite". Don't be jealous of how much others make.
