It was about a detective in Victorian England investigating the Jack the Ripper murders.

I used to drink moonshine at a friends/neighbors house when i was a teenager/high school in the early morning as a wake up call, maybe 10 times total. When i went to Croatia in 2006 they were selling shots of moonshine for like one US dollar, might of been less than that can't remember exactly . Wishing now i had ordered some Absinthe just to try it out back then.

That's what I've always heard. Now that I think about it, I think one of my English teachers in high school told us about it. Not that he'd ever tried it, just explained what it was. I think it was mentioned in a story we were reading.
