Walker adds another pass rusher and not sure if Sean Lee is not a cap casualty.OLB is one of the last positions I'd like to see us draft in the 2nd. A "4-3" team is actually 4-2-5 in today's NFL. The 3rd corner is more of a starter than the 3rd linebacker. Damien Wilson played like 30% of snaps. An OLB would have to be an overwhelming BPA to have this make sense IMO.

Kyler Murray is small and if he doesn't start,he will just go play baseball. I have him to the Ravens because you put him in the backfield with Lamar Jackson and who is the QB? Who is the WR,RB,Slot?...If they add another guy like RG3 in the mix that will confuse teams and drive them up the wall.... Murray is small and this is a big man league. Yeah rare exceptions in Brees who hangs out in the shotgun all the time and Russell Wilson, but most small QBs don't make it. For every Russell Wilson there is Ty Detmer,Troy Smith,Timmy Chang,Todd Santos,Kevin Murray,Johnny Manziel,etc....I don't know what to say. Kyler Murray is WAY too late and an OLB at #58? Do you realize how often a third LB is on the field? We took LVE because for the long term, he was going to replace either Lee or Jaylon, but there was never any intention for all three to play together.
After Sean Lee, we have Damien Wilson who has had off the field issues. Joe Mays who looks like a special teams type and Chris Covington who looks like a career backup, and Justin March-Lillard looks like just another body who most likely will end up in the XFL,CFL,AFL.... Walker should start end of his rookie season for Wilson. ...Yes we do blitz and Walker adds another nightmare to deal with.

So you want a 2nd on a safety or a medical risk at DT? Abram is too much of a headhunter and the NFL is steering clear of these guys.If not, JJ Wilcox would still be here... Adderly? Is he really an improvement over Woods & Heath? Also Earl Thomas wants to be here.So who is the backup 2nd round pick??....Again, you are using our best pick in the draft for a backup player. Did you mean Thomas instead of Mays? Thomas looked very good before getting hurt. He is more than capable as a backup. They will probably also keep Lee at a discounted rate, would be my guess.
We also are one of the least blitzing teams in the league.
It just doesn't make a ton of sense to use our best pick in this draft on a guy that we "might" blitz from time to time and would get a few snaps at SAM but mostly sit on the bench as we play a lot of nickel. Now if you are telling me, they can move him to DE and make him a hand on the ground player, then sure, I can buy that.
Using your list........... I'd rather go Adderly and Abram or even Simmons, who you had sliding because of his knee injury.
In the 3rd, I'd likely go Omenihu most likely.
You know why? Because College programs realize these smurf QBs usually do not pan out in the pros because all of these guys in the past..Notice most of the QBs you mentioned were from 20 years ago. The one recent example, was a guy who had drug issues and a horrible attitude and the rest weren't projected to do much in the pros. So I'd say Brees isn't the rare exception anymore.
And at this point, Murray has returned the signing bonus, and is missing spring training. It's completely conjecture on your part to suggest he's going back to baseball if he doesn't start. If anything, being drafted by a team that wants to play him at WR, RB, or slot will make him choose baseball. He said he's putting all of his energy into being a QB, not an NFL player.
And *if* the Ravens drafted him and he actually reported, they would not keep RG3. And it would not be feasible to have all 3 on the field. Yes they are fast, but they aren't route runners and they aren't polished pass catchers. It's the type of play that would work at best, once a season.

Did Kordell Stewart really know routes when he was a SLASH player??? Jackson and Murray are fast enough to be SLASH players and could drive teams batty.
Yeah Murray is saying he wants to put all his hopes into being a QB.He knows what to say from his agent, hoping to be a high pick. If he goes later and might have to ride the bench as a clipboard QB ,then Murray might sign for Baseball.

Possible pick.Simmons? He is a risk and he might bust if he isn't the same player. Also Marinelli already has proven you can find DTs off the street who can play just as well.
Yes it does make sense to get another good athlete who can play LB and rush the passer.
Another pass rusher in the 3rd round you want, but not the 2nd who can also play LB like I want?????

We play the Tampa 2,that is 3 LBs. Walker adds bonus in both areas as a guy who can play LB or as a pass rush specialist putting his hand in the dirt.Yes, I'd use my 2nd on a S that would have a chance to start over a LB that will sit on the bench for at least 70+% of the snaps. If Thomas is a definite, then sure, that might change the equation a bit, but frankly, I think both S spots could be upgraded.
Yes, I'd take a risk on a guy with Top 15 talent in Simmons who has an injury issue. Kind of worked out for us with Jaylon Smith, right? And this idea that Marinelli turns crap into gold along the DL is kind of strange. Our best DL? Lawrence. A 2nd round pick. Our next most consistent DL? Probably Crawford. A 2nd round pick. Gregory? 2nd round pick. Collins? 3rd round pick. Yes, he got mileage out of Woods. But people overrate the level of slop Marinelli has turned into gold as if he's turned a rag tag roster of UDFAs and guys off the street into dominant DLs. He's actually had some decent talent to work with recently.
Omenihu is a pure DE. Your guy is an OLB. We play a 4-3 and don't blitz our LBs a lot. Omenihu fits better for this team than a LB in the 2nd that will play, maybe, 20% of the snap at LB and likely wouldn't play much DE at all. Your guy might be the 5th LB when all is said and done behind Smith, LVE, Lee, Thomas. That's horrible value with the 2nd round pick.
The only way that pick makes sense is if you believe that he will likely be a DE for us. Remember, the defensive coaches kind of balked at TJ Watt because the reports said they weren't sure where he fits in the defense. Walker is basically a clone of Watt.
