I feel for Irving and Gregory..........but I never once looked at them as a part of this team just like I never looked at as Rolando McClain apart of this team. Just like I don't look at Sean Lee as apart of this team.

Smoking weed isn't stupid. The NFL fans that don't understand that the NFL is a political money making ***** are the ones who are stupid. I for one am happy that there are guys out there that don't allow $ to get in the way of how they chose to live their lives. Their lives, don't forget that.

The NFL is a business, to play in that business, one must abide by those rules, rules the league and the NFLPA agreed too, just like in life, and there's consequences for not abiding by those rules, if you'd rather spend your time smoking weed than making millions playing in that sport, then you're stupid, it's that simple!!

They are moronic. If your employer clearly spells out a condition of employment and you repeatedly violate that condition, you deserve to be terminated. If my boss told me I had to wear a suit every day and be clean shaven, those stipulations wouldn't necessarily be the law or an imposition of morality; they'd be conditions of employment.

Its not about being "perfect". Its about being a professional and being enough of an adult to respect the people who hired you and invested their money and time in you.

If your that addicted to pot you have way bigger problems, I don't have much sympathy for him at this point. My son is an addict and he can't get rehab and I can't afford it, this fool has had all the help in the world yet he can't stop getting hi
The help he gets is clearly not working.

That's your opinion. Its easy to sit here behind a computer and call someone a idiot. I tend to think there's deeper issues there. Anyone who has smoked marijuna knows that its not a vice that allows you to lose your career for. People have confirmed in the NFL they have smoked weed and never got caught. So for you to get caught doing it when others manage to not do so? Tells me there's something there. But I'm not in the mood to argue over this. I feel for them. You don't. We can agree to disagree.

Don’t think too much man... he’s a grown man whose had numerous chances to clean up including getting the best help from the team.. you can’t tell me Jerry didn’t try counseling and getting him a bodyguard to buffer for him

Dude is a grown man who made his bed.. guess what he’s going to have to find a regular job selling cars or insurance here soon and be a productive tax paying citizen like the rest of us. Good luck bro I hope it was worth it

But it's the rules like it or not, now this kid will be out of the league and you watch his life totally fall apart
There are also rules that ask the defensive lineman to put a pillow down under the QB before placing him on the ground.

 Seriously?
Yeah seriously. Instead of wasting time posting a meaningless retort why don't you go do some research on what these guys suffer from and what drugs actually help and which ones actually worsen the disease. Marijuana is 100% all natural and helps healing way better than the bipolar antidepressant meds that is prescribed to patients that only make them even more depressed. Listen I don't walk in there shoes but at least I can have an open mind to understand why and I think it's absolutely ridiculous that these two get chastised by most for something so minuscule. I don't even smoke weed or like to but I do know and understand the benefits.

Totally fall apart by whose standards? I don't think you and I were raised under the same circumstances as he was. Probably 3/4s of these guys lives fall apart once they are out of the league and that even includes the ones who have had the big contracts and fame. Maybe a guy like Irving was just happy to get to this point in the first place. Maybe his dream was to one day play in the NFL and he fulfilled it already and made a bunch of money and don't give a crap anymore. Yeah, I'm with you and most when you think of the $50 mill he could be losing out on for some weed but to him maybe the $5-6 mill he already pocketed is equal to $50 mill compared to were he came from. Different walks of life and who are we to judge how someone chooses to live their life without harming anyone else.

The NFL is politics and once you understand you learn to not care about the villain that they make of you when you smoke weed or deflate footballs or get a "massage" or don't stand for symbolization. It's one world with all different walks of life.

I work for my boss. He doesn't play by the rules and I don't play by his rules. I break the rules quite often actually and get away with them cause most rules are pointless and don't hold meaning. He's already made millions even with all the suspensions. Life isn't all about $ when you find that out you'll find out a whole bunch more.

Gregory and Irving are about as useful as fishnet toilet paper when you have extremely violent diarrhea...

Perfect solution: give Tank $25M/year...

What could possibly go wrong?

taco charlton could have been the answer but seems he may be a big bust for a first rounder.

Gregory has made 2.3 million dollars, which is nice, but it’s not much if expected to last the next 50-60 years. And no, life isn’t all about money, but neither is it all about smoking pot. I’m pretty sure the money would go a lot further in securing his future than pot. Gregory supposedly loves playing football, and the inability to stay away from pot is keeping him from both the football and the money.

I doubt Irving has made that much because he wasn’t a draft pick and therefore had a much smaller rookie contract than Gregory.

No Sean Lee hate. I love the guy. I don't blame him I just think his body can't hold up. But I put him in that list because I don't go into the season considering his spot safe because I can rely on him. You can't.

He had a torn hamstring. It will heal.

Have you ever watched him in practice? He’s built like a tank.

He will retire soon enough.

I don't feel bad for Irving at all. I think he has made clear choices. I'm not convinced Gregory is an idiot. I feel like he has anxiety and/or other mental health issues that are not treated well. Or perhaps the most effective treatment is pot. I feel bad for him. He's probably done as a Cowboy and with NFL football as a whole, but I feel bad for him as a human.

He made 3 mill last year and I’m sure at least a half a mill in every other year. Anyways it happens to over 3/4 of the league even those who are multiple pro bowlers and sign that one big extension.
