B/R: Nick Foles Won't Be Franchise-Tagged by Eagles; Will Enter Free Agency

What do you suppose Karma was paying back Dallas fans for when Romo was missing games due to injury the last several years of his career?

I can't say. We never threw snowballs at Santa Claus, or cheered when an opponent was lying paralyzed on the field.

Next season could be filled with a lot of Quarterback woes in the NFC East. And ironically the cowboys might have the best QB in the East.

Dallas: Dak
Gnats: Eli or replacement
Egals: An injury prone Wentz who isn't the same since the injury.
Skins: Colt Mccoy

Skins are rumored to really like the Duke QB.

Well I'm thinking he isn't going to be the mobile threat he was before. Or with his injury prone history, I don't think you want him to be.
he was never an outstanding runner...but he was outstanding moving around the pocket and extending plays with his eyes usually downfield. And who is to say he won't be all the way back physically....year 2 post ACL - isn't that usually when an ACL feels normal again.

I would be interested, but I know it wont happen.
Jones boys would rather have dak than a qb that has won a SB :muttley:

Lets see the eagles drafted him and as a rookie was in 7 games started 6 and had 6 TD's and 5 picks. He did much better in 2013 and then 2014 he started 8 games and 13 TD's and 10 picks. 2015 he played for the rams and started 11 games and had 7 TD's and 10 picks (ouch more picks than TD's). 2016 he signs with KC and played in 3 games and started 1 and had 3 TD's. Then he comes back to the eagles and started the last 3 games of the season and rode the coat tails and got a ring. Most years he threw almost as many picks as TD's and 1 season he actually threw more picks than TD's. I really wouldn't want a QB who has a history of barely throwing more TD's than picks.

;) well come on, everyone knows the rep Philly fans have. I mean the Michael Irvin career ending injury demonstrates it just perfectly. People here in Dallas wouldn't cheer if some Philly player would get injured on the field.

Except Irvin wasn't paralyzed. Some (emphasis on some) fans cheered Irvin's injury. And Santa Claus wasn't Santa Claus. He was a drunk fan from the stands dressed as Santa Claus.

It's embarrassing the way some Philly fans behave. But every fan base has bad fans.

It still stands to reason that if Karma is using Wentz's injuries to pay back Eagles fans, then Karma was using Romo's injuries to pay back Cowboys fans for something they did.

Separate issue. And most Eagles fans wouldn't cheer an injury to an opposing player.

The statement was made that Wentz's injuries was Karma paying back Eagles fans for bringing up Romo's injuries. My question isn't meant to paint Cowboys fans in a bad manner. My question is "What behavior was Karma repaying when Romo was dealing with injuries?"

Victim's of dirty deed often say that Karma will get the perpetrator of the dirty deed. And I often wonder what that person did in their past that a dirty deed was perpetrated upon them. When something bad happens to someone at the hands of another human being, do they ever look at their past and see behavior that might've hurt somebody else that they're now being paid back?

Wentz is still the best QB in the division. He played only 11 games and had 21tds and 7 int 3000+ yds with a higher completion percentage and yds per completion than Dak. Wentz was playing good until he suffered the broken bone in his back and played through it. And the amazing thing is Wentz did all that without a great RB.

I felt the same way about Dallas. But you have to let it play out. Nick is likely going to a Florida team and won't be what he was here.

But for Carson, It's easy to write narratives that make things look differently than they were. Carson has had injuries each of the last 2 years, but the one this year didn't put him on IR. He missed some games and could have come back if they needed him too, maybe even in the divisional round had nick been injured. Carson was coming off of the definitive major injury in the NFL this year. Next year he won't be, it'll make a difference I believe. 1 training camp in 3 years isn't great for your young starting QB.

Completely agree.

People are very quick to generally criticise players coming off serious injuries.

It is ridiculous really.

Like any other team, the Eagles have their problems controlling their cap issues, just like we do. All in all, they somehow manage to do pretty well in that regard, as we've noticed in the past. No doubt, there'll be many of their followers who would like to see Foles being retained, although due consideration for the team's salary cap health must be observed, since any team's ongoing success demands it. Some team and their followers are sure to put out the red carpet to welcome him into the fold. I'm just relieved to see it's not Philly doing so. ;)

Carson, the first player in college football history to win 5 national championships. Yes he’s gotten injured, but he’s still gotten the job done.
ROFL... so did he actually play in all those championship wins? because we all know he didn't for #6...can you say slid in the back door...

Hum,,, I'm not so sure about that, look at Deshawn Watson in Houston, didn't he also come off a ACL or MCL and look where he lead his team last season....
