Guy looked super smooth running the 40 in 4.36, great fluidity in the hips, good cover guy & ball hawking safety. High IQ player who loves the game. Some worried about his lack of height or tackling in the box, sure looks good to me (I didn't see it all) . At 5'10 he may lack some height but what is Earl Thomas? Darnell says "He makes up for his lack of height with heart".

Savage had a great Senior Bowl and Combine, originally projected 3-4 round pick. His stock must be rising probably going to go late 2nd round early third. Eagles showing interest

Good option as a FS, but the scouting reports read he can’t tackle.

Sounds like a more athletic version of Woods.

He's not immaculate with technique or angles, but no one really is. I didn't really feel like it was a problem.

I’m not talking about technique or angles, I’m just saying I’ve read he’s not a good tackler which is a concern.

2nd is to soon for me, but I’d still consider him as a back end safety later.

Yes. I've talked about this guy on another. I really like his game. He plays fast and he's a violent tackler, would be an excellent SS for the Cowboys to go with Woods. I didn't even watch the combine, but those numbers make him a targeted player.

You see the Ravens and Eagles are looking at him...those are good drafting teams who know talent. DAL drafts well too, but they need help with Safety...so I'm saying they should put this guy on the board...high.

Similar. Much like Woods, especially when he would pull some duty at corner his rookie year.

Yeah I read that too about tackling maybe a concern but nobody said he "can't tackle" (ala Deion Sanders) he's more of a ballhawk cover safety and the little video I watched his tackling looks ok.

Like Woods in the sense that he could come down and cover the slot yes but I've never seen anyone say Woods is a High IQ ballhawk and he sure doesn't move as good.

Savage and Tell with our 2nd and 3rd round picks. Give us some athleticism in the back half to say the least.

Thronhill and Tell would be my request.

I’m liking Thornhill more and more. As of now, him and Abram are my top 2 guys.

Tell is interesting - great athlete, but hard to tell what he’s good at bc ofnthe way USC used him.

USC is hot garbage right now they have top tier talent who are not being coached up. If we can address the d-line in FA I would have 0 issues doubling up at S in this draft especially if you get two elite athletes with Kris Richard.

I think it's going to be a slow market for the D-line in FA with how this draft is setup and maybe a flyer on a 1 year show me deal with Shane Ray, and someone like Hankins as the gap filling 1 tech.

I wouldn’t mind doubling down on S either, but I think ignoring the amount of DL talent in this draft would be foolish.

Maybe a S in the 2/3, then doubling down on a later round option in the 5/6th?

Just depends on how they address things in FA. I would love to go get a bunch of dudes in FA on 1 year deals like I mentioned guys like Hankins, and a guy like Ray and/ bring back Mayowa. There will be plenty more guys they can look into short term deals which won't effect long term deals of our own.

Where do we think Ben Banogu is going to be drafted, right now I see him being mocked later 3rd early 4th. If that is the case could we draft safety with the 2nd and 3rd and use our two 4ths and go up to get a Ben Banogu to be the RE.
