Other than Fred, all those other guys were on the field when the Rams kicked our teeth in. So we are just hoping everybody magically improves leaps and bounds above how they played last season?

I could go on, but that doesn't sound like a great strategy to me. I mean, using this logic, maybe Jeff Heath will turn into a stud:rolleyes:

I forgot to mention Kellan Moore

paying dak Prescott money like he is a great player is a huge mistake will finish sinking the ship but this approach to free agency is how Stephen said they would go

You have other free agents you think are better players than D-Law, Zeke Elliott etc....?
The point is you can't simply ignore a way to make your team better.
The better teams in the league don't and neither should we.

New, OC, DC and the draft. Duh.

You are actually claiming Kellen Moore is the reason our team is going to take the next step?

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

I'm sorry, I am laughing to hard to read the rest of your post.

Tell me about all their acquisitions last year?
Wasn't this past year, but Gilmore was a huge pickup. They were also in on Antonio Brown. Also in on Justin Houston.
They don't come out and say stuff like "free agency doesn't work" because it simply isn't true.

There is no need in even thinking about Dak and Zeke's contracts right now.

Folks, just a few days ago reports were the Cowboys were thick in the hunt for ET, there was a report connecting the Cowboys to Landon Collins, and there have been multiple rumors about others. And fans comment en masse with each one. Time will tell - no need to get worked into a lather now.
The point is you can't simply ignore a way to make your team better.

i agree, however you also can’t let quality players leave all the time so that you are always scrambling to replace them. In general I like that the Cowboys are careful with their free agent dollars, but I think an occasional strategic signing could help as well. Finding the balance is the key.

I agree. Bringing back Witten and keeping Lee are typical Cowboy moves. Move on from both and bring in a guy that can actually make a difference on the field this year.
It is a balance but ignoring free agency is a loser's strategy.

I’m not worried about either of those guys as long as the Cowboys don’t use them as featured players. On that we will have to wait and see.

I guess it isn't possible to look at Free Agents while also negotiating with our own players?

All those guys were on the field when the Rams biotch slapped us around for 3 hours.

So how exactly are we getting better with no first round pick and ignoring free agency?

That is true but those 5 guys did hold their own with the exception of D Law. All the Rams did was run the football and that came from weak interior, poor LB play and Heath. I think the secondary (minus Heath) did ok on the obvious passing downs.
Offensively, the Cowboys were ok enough to have a chance to win the game once the offense opened up a little bit.

Signing those 5 are ok but I don't want Byron Jones to get 15 mil plus. I think the Cowboys would be better off playing two average/good cbs in Lewis and Awuzie who are willing to take chances in getting picks with a good/great FS to bail them out than a good/great corner in Jones that don't make plays at all with a weak safety play behind him.

On in? So they're getting credit for people they didn't even sign? We'll if that's the game Dallas has been linked to all kinds of FAs.

Fred coming back, Full year of Cooper, Williams 2nd year, Gallup 2nd year...I mean I could go on.
Same DL and secondary that gets beat like a red headed step child in big games when it matters the most.

Same ole song. Same Terrible results.
